Folding Mirrors??? 2005 SL55
Gents,
Does the 2005 SL55 have folding mirrors when you lock the doors? Mine currently doesn't do this. No button inside the car that will allow this either.

No not on this $175K german car, you can get it on a $20K jap car. makes you wonder? Guess they think we need more important stuff - like useless headlight washers that mess the whole front end of the car, or warning lights and buzzers that tell us when we are getting close to other cars because we usually drive with our eyes closed.

You have to pro gramme it in. Mine used to do it ( fold in that is) and I took
it to a Main dealer and he de-programmed it. I did n't want them to fold in.
You should check before slagging the old girl off.

I believe you are referring to your later SL63 with folding option.

well wtf, how come we don't get them and europe does? I wonder how much it would cost to get the parts to do it, but I would assume I would need some sort of genius to convince the vehicle to control them.

Just to clarify. 2005 SL55 in America. Does it have folding mirrors? Is this something I can go into Star DAS and setup? My control cluster has an option for it, but nothing happens when I activate it.
