2005, 14,000miles. No pano, no dis or parktronic, no radar, standard AMG 5-spoke wheels - $50K. No warranty. Spotless though.
I offered the guy 48K and he acted like I slept with his teenage daughter.
Ahhhh, this makes more sense. The email you sent me stated it was a 2006 with 14K miles for $45K, which I found to be an unbelievable price. Figure a super low mile, no story, clean 2005 SL55 will be about 45-48K, before warranty, the 600s will be slightly more. As you creep up in mileage, the price drops obviously. The problem with super low mile, one owner cars, is the guy paid $140K for it. Whereas a dealer most likely picked it up for 40K at an auction.
I was joking about the daughter. The non pano roof is bothering me. Got a quote on the part of 4K. Not sure how much it would cost to install.
Two years ago I bought a 2004 SL55 with 22k for 45K. Pano, but no distronic or parktronic. Car showed an accident on carfax; I got my detective hat on, found the reporting city, had a copy of the accident report sent, googled the guy, and got the story. Bottom line, it was a relatively minor incident. I shot the guy a price and got the car...no regrets.
You can find what you are looking for, at the price you want to pay, if you have patience.
Also be care for scams out there. Their is an 05 sl55 listed in auto trader now just a couple of miles from where I live for 26k, fully loaded with 15k mi. I was truly pissed just buying one a few weeks earlier for an 04 with 22k mi not fully loaded for 37k. But after doing some research found it was a scam, that the car was unaccessable to look at, monies to be paid thru google or something, unlisted phone number and would be delivered. RIGHT. As far as my car, one owner, all maintenace records, clean, warrenty transferd and a very happy owner. Dont rush, a deal will come your way and good luck.
Where is that number coming from. Also, this person is keeping his rims and tires (is that standard practice) and putting on the 5-spoke boring AMG rims that were never used. If someone wants to buy them, let me know. Car is pristine according to the pictures, have no idea about the tires, rotors, etc; but he said he'd take into do the B service.
