Random Question - Why no Blow Off Valve (BOV) upgrades/changes for V12TT cars?

Hello all. This may be a simple/silly question or have something to do with fuel tuning/the complex MB ECU, but why is it not common (or seen in search/common mod lists) for the V12TT cars to change/upgrade blow off valves?

Coming from the world of a big turbo supra, this was always a common mod when upping the boost. I see those here with elevated boost on a tuned ECU with no mention of a larger BOV. Just curious, as a V12 with a large BOV would sure sound menacing on the street.

Enlighten me

I agree some of the lesser turbo imports sound "ricey" with a loud BOV, but still curious why the need is there for a "non-ricey" 800 whp supra to necessitate a larger BOV when a similarly tuned turbo MB doesn't require the upgrade.

Not necessarily....what do you say to Soulcsearchers 50mm Tial BOV and wastegates???...Car is laying the smack down with 1000 HP plus...If the car is not extremely modded I don't see a need for it, but if it is, then it's a must to upgrade the system due to power demands.. I am all for it.

^Now there's a perspective I can agree with!

So with ECU tune, cooling mods, and 600-700 whp, the stock BOV system will still suffice? Curious and considering future options

i have heard the stockers hold, but if there has been any failures or if there is an aftermarket with a slight amount more sound, I would be interested

hi, i have just mounted 2 hks super sequential BOV's on the intake manifolds, i was just wondering if the rumour is true, that they will slowly cause damage?

The sl65 does not really need a bov as it is an automatic car and at wot with gear changes the throttle plate does not close when upshifting. Hence no need for bov as there are no pressure spikes. Besides, we do not run that much more boost than stock anyway even when modded to th typical 670hp level.

No need for bov on an auto car as pressure spikes are minimal due to the fact that the throttle plate is not closed when upshifting like it is on the manual cars. Also, the car is designed to have no bov at stock boost (loose tq converter) and even the modded ones (670hp) run not much more boost than stock.
