345 out back, 265, 275 or 285 up front should be perfect, that's what a lot of the widebody exoitcs run

what@! that's close to the rear tire of a standard SL, and is the rear size on the 030 package...even a 305 is not that much larger than a 295 and that is a plus size for the 10.5 - 11" SL rear wheel in the aftermarket! that's pretty sick bro! my only concern is more rolling weight on the front of the that's unsprung and more stress on the steering system with fatter front tires. One thing's for sure it will look great!!!

I hear ya! maybe 285/possible 295, she's already @ 633 rwhp DynoJet. She can handle it, the wheels I'm choosing will be lighter than my crummy heavy 19"s currently on Rig now.. I weighed rears when swapped out my Drag setup, they weighed close to 65 lbs eavs Hoosier Drag pak @ 30lbs ea (both these weights include wheel/tire) current rears are 295/30/19

bad *** kit you are going with and doubt you will have any regrets. About, those carbon fiber bits on the kit......... just plain wicked. Dont get me started on the rubber you plan on mounting.

Thanx my brutha! the Kit itself may take a few extra weeks before in my paws, Misha says they are being built 1 @ time & NOT stocked, they're made to order takes a bit of time...

They're VERY well made, moving straight ahead. You, Alan's & Lassiter's opinions on my upcoming choices for final color/wheels (I'll let the final wheel builder outta bag BRAND NEW CUSTOM BUILT HRE'S they'll be in Mate/Satin finsh 19"s ALL around I like to keep it racey 20"s look great! but suck on city streets pot-holes etc..

Imagine Custom HRE's in 19x11 fronts 19x13 rears Choosing they're style will be helped with other finishing up Misha kits that are in frnt of me..

SL55 Widebody
can't wait to see what you have you in store. I really wish I picked up a sl600 instead of the sl55. There is just so much more power to be made with the twin turbo v12.

Is there any difference in the motor between the sl600 and the sl65??

I'll simplify it, AFTER EQUALLY tuning ECU/TCU /cooling mods etc.. the 600 makes JUST AS MUCH RWHP/RWTQ as it's EVIL big brother 65, the .05 half a liter in displacement does nill in power, differences are in 600 boost is set stk @ 13'ish PSI w/65 boost @ 18-19'ish PSI after tunes they both see around 22-23 psi..

The MAIN advantage the 65 holds is stk turbo wheels/inlet/outlets are slightly larger ONLY make odd 20 rwhp in swap, but the 65's turbo's are able to run much more boost after upgrading the turbo wheels FURTHER vs just upgrading wheels on 600 turbo.. Speedriven is working on a kit for us 600/65 guys to be in spitting range of 1000 bhp

You n I def need to meet up & do photo shoot after both builds complete, I have a Prof Photographer dying to work on these pix!

Speaking of pix... I know we ALL prolly don't love the wheels I believe they're 22"s, but look past them @ shear BEAUTY of the Mishadesigns SLM w/CF in Brilliant silver (it's an SL55 too) I believe it was prototype gold/blk kit redone...

Look's sensational to me, though my theme is mostly gloss blk w/plenty of Matte accents..

More pix coming later..

I might have to look into what it runs for the turbo wheel upgrade, the only thing that worries me is that if I have the benz store in my dealer group install it, they may tell me to go fist myself if something brakes....

Sean, you may want to do a test fit with a 19 wheel before making a final decision. Looks like they went with the larger 22's to fill what looks to be larger wheel openings. A 19 inch rim may not look right..maybe Misha can measure the radius on the kit car and you can compare to stock.

It'll be fine, I like more aspect ratio/tire thickness IE = better perf than 22" - 20" on rubber bands, Anyday of the week.. Thnx for the words though

SL500 R230
hate the wheels...just hate them
it looks like something from pimp my ride
plus the silver isnt doing it for me either (even though my personal car is a silver sl500)
id go with red and matte black or carbon for all the accents
throw on some matte black or carbon concaves like tc concepts and you would have the absolute "wow" factor of a ferrari and the drivability and comfort of an sl

The wheels dont look bad, it makes the kit look OEM and just fine.

I have to agree with Kustom2k1

19" Wheels will make it look tiny, look at Mario' Sorano

I'm really trying to like this Misha kit, but it's just off to me when you compare it to the B65. I too have questions about the fit of the wheels. They definitely were off when the car was gold and seem to have fixed the issue on these pics. i wonder if this is the true ride height or the lowest setting? I'm not knocking anyone who would do it...I actually envy your ballzyness. I can't get past the superhero size cutouts on the hood and rear quarters, nor the lack of flow on the quarter panels to the rear bumper like the OEM. I believe Indesign does it best with there OEM version. JMHO. Good luck and I look forward to seeing everyone's pics when they complete there jobs.

Sean's Sister--
wheels look bad for the car but the only thing i dislike on the misha kit is the rear cf vents on the bumper....it's too much, i'd have it like the front bumper vents, non cf...

Absolutely LOVE the front bumper, hood, front quarter panels, and side skirts.
Don't like the rear as much. The gills are a tad much and the rear quarters would look better with the BS flares near the tail lights.

On a silver car these parts stand out, but in black it'll probably look much better.

Yes the SL in these pix has been lowered vs when it was gold/black, also wheels are 21" I was incorrect on the 22"s..

Top Down.. I think it's super aggressive bumper angles/lines accent the new slanted headlights perfectly. They look leaner/meaner than SL65 BS (+ option of droppin' top' make this widebody kit a PURE "W" all around)

Is it my eyes or is there a slight fit issue at the front quarterpanel/door area? The flow lines don't seem to match up perfectly?

Has this body kit ever seen a wind tunnel or have any aerodynamics evaluation done?

The thing about this kit is that it makes the car look "kitted" meaning you can tell this in an aftermarket kit, kinda like it's trying too hard in a slight way. In addition there are tons of louvers, fit and finish issues, as well as the stance and overall presentation of the vehicle from what folks have suggested. the Subtleties are the toughest part to get right. I dunno I do like the 65 BS, it flows...it doesn't look "kitted" and not at all boy racer-ish. You know that car belongs with that style and look and the body is 100% functional as designed by MB engineers...

I dunno maybe on a black car these issues won't be nearly as prevelent
