Prices are going up...
I have noticed on Autotrader, Ebay, and other websites that the prices of "used" SL55's are going up. I have seen more in the 150-155k range. I am selling mine soon also and hoping to get atleast 10-15k over sticker. Do you think this is due to warm weather just strarting now?

Are those Ebay prices selling or asking?
With the war winding down and spring in the air this may be the last chance to make a little profit on sale of a "used" SL55 so long as the miles on it are minimal. For a private sale, the ten or fifteen over MSRP is probably at the high end and only dealers could expect to do better by putting together some fantastic financing or lease package for a customer whose company is going to foot the bill anyway.

I have seen a lot of used ones in the 150-155 range also, but that doesn't mean they are getting that. I am being told by people who deal in these cars for a living that the current market for a used low mileage sl55 is in the 7-10 range over msrp.

2003 SL55, 2004 E500, 2004 Porsche Turbo Cab, 2007 Ferrari 599, 1988 Ferrari GTS
Many of these are being bought for speculation which reminds me of the days of the rapidly rising ridiculous Ferrari prices in the early 1990s, but fortunately most are these cars getting in the hands of the enthusiatist which is ultimately where they belong.
