SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: finally took some quick pics with the new wheels on!
Is it just me or do the wheels in the third photo look like they are on wrong? The fins should be canted so that the sharp edge moves clockwise into the wind on that side of the car. Otherwise you don't get the "fan" effect of the wheels. The wheels appear correct on the driver's side of the car (counter-clockwise rotation). Strange.

wheels look good, but way too busy for me. Never really liked the fan look. Too complex looking for the car...a simple 5 spoke or split spoke IMO works best on the SL... also a little lowering would look great on the car...but nice ride overall

I myself have aftermarket wheels. But I find them even nicer than original AMG.
Why you say..?
1. Because the original rims are only 19", with no lip.
2. Because the fake ones are 20", and wider in the rear (10"), AND have a fat lip.
I'm not saying I always prefer a lip, but in this AMG-case, I absolutely do!
And since the original SLR wheel come in lefts & rights, then everything else feels wrong in a cheap kinda way!
Because I really do believe Lorinser had the SLR wheel in mind, when designing them.
But I guess, not many people notices that. it's just us nerds!
And btw, nobody can see both sides at the same time right...
