SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: low mph in 1/4 for modded sl65

Ok...regarding the thread issue...I have an update.
Day 1 in the shop revealed low Fuel Pressure of barely 52psi. Not only is this below the low/mid 60's that Marcin wants to see on the car, it's also well below MB's minimum spec. Obviously, not enough fuel pressure can cause a host of power issues....
Getting it corrected this week and then on the dyno...busy week since the car's also getting motor mounts, tire pressure sensors and the ABC was apparently near death! Amen for warrenty - woohoo

Stay tuned for results.

Another update. SDS found a miss in cyl #6 too. Personally, I never felt it and thought the car pulled decent. However, seems like I had/have two things working against me.
So, fuel pressure will get sorted out this week as will the #6 miss - THEN dyno.
Stay tuned.
And are they just putting a new plug or coil pack for the #6 miss?
The injectors looks good...not positive of the plan of attack, however, I've run into a few other MB owners who had to have fuel pumps replaced more than once. So, I'm guessing will require either new pump, new fuel ecu...both...stay tuned.
Regarding the miss...well...the car had the plugs done about 10k miles ago. Think we're leaning towards a new coil pack.
NEMES1S - ha...nope, no CEL for the miss!! After all the new parts it's getting...damn well better get the results we're looking for

I never knew EC offered a tcu tune! Did you have to take the tcu out of the footwell and send it out, or was it done another way?
Thanks
I'm posting because I recently upgraded my EC tune in my 600. Not sure how recent your tune is, and it sounds like you are talking with Jerry, but I have Jerry's recent ECU tune (November) and also his new TCU tune. While I went through a few ECU versions to get the combo dialed in, my car is notably faster than what they were doing with the ECU last Summer. I have not been to a track yet to validate with numbers, but I am pulling like a freight train in 2nd and 3rd with colder weather.
If I were you, I'd put the car on a dyno asap to see what is going on.

Wanted to update this thread to see if 1) SS2Z06 had any update and 2) to provide my own.
Well, after many weeks...I think I finally have a good bit to report on.
Like SS2Z06, I was having a hard time getting my S65 to run the numbers like the other guys were seeing here on a tune. My best run was 11.8 @ 119. Finally, I took the car to John at Broadway Performance in Passaic, NJ.
The idea was the just check the fuel pressure and see what's up...well...he found the following issues:
1) Fuel pressure was ~52psi, out of spec and way below what Marin has seen on S65's. New fuel pump was installed.
2) Car had a miss in #6. This did not throw any CEL's, but showed up on SDS. New coil pack was installed.
I believe those are the only two "performance oriented" issues. However, we also replace all 24 spark plugs. Additionally, the motor mounts were shot, replaced those.
Side note: my ABC was leaking - so all sorts of things were replaced there too. New set of air filters put in as well.
I had logs of the car's performance from BEFORE all of the above was done and the car would pull (2nd gear) from 1985rpm - 5170rpm in 3.38seconds. This was the same state the car was in when it went 11.8
I made a few pulls AFTER John got done replacing everything and it would do the same 2nd gear pull from 1985-5170rpm in 2.98seconds. The car felt good, but not "ridiculous". Problem was still around boost. The caw clearly running better and harder but would still only hit 23.5psi at most.
Marcin and I went back and forth on a few tunes and the one I have on the car now has seemingly addressed the boost issue and the car officially feels ridiculous. Car will now hit 26.3psi and hold boost higher & longer. This past weekend it made the 1985-5170rpm pull in 2.50seconds.
More interesting facts, the following is the average boost:
Before Broadway Tuneup avg: 19.55psi from 3680-5150rpm
After Broadway Tuneup avg: 20.56psi from 3680-5150rpm
After tuneup w/new SD tune: 22.69psi from 3680-5150rpm
And since everyone likes graphs...I think the following really shows the differences:
I'm excited to get to the track as well, Atco opens up in two weeks or so. Ha, I'd love to hit MIR - but the 3hr ride from my house is killer :/
I'm also looking forward to the Spring release of MT's new 19" drag radial

Tom - you said it man...very frustrating! Luckily John @ Broadway treated the car like his own and dealt 100% with the warranty company to get all the OEM stuff straight. And Marcin / Jo @ Speedriven provided alot of support and things to try. And, of course, the new tune.
Marko - Thanks for help via PM, I would've thought a car like this would throw a CEL for anything out of the ordinary...guess not.
OH - since the car was in the shop anyway, I got Marcin to whip up a remote mount IC tank for the trunk and John put it in. Stay tuned for pics - granted, it's still pretty cold here in NJ...but I know it's going to pay for itself once it gets hot out there.
Next stop...big IC's and turbos...
