Depends on color and location, but I think low-mid 40s would make more sense, especially for Black or Silver.

Most go low 50s to mid-upper 40s in those years/mileage.

Remmber, the ....

post was about a 55, not a 65. Don't laugh too hard. Although they are more $$$, they are in the same market freefall as most other SL's. Have you been watching Marcus' SL65 on ebay the past two weeks? 3 bids total, and about to expire again. Yes, I know it's full of bottom feeders, just saying that SL reality is a bit tough at the moment....LOTS of car for the money, but tough on sellers that paid big $$$...

That's what I get for posting from my phone...my mistake on reading, though 35k still sounds like a bargin for 30k miles? I haven't been following Marcus' car...I will have to ask him about the progress on sale. His SL is gorgeous and def a motivation for mine/me jumping in!

Sorry for the confusion

I can't find a nice 06 sl55 with under 30k miles in the Southeast for $42! Anyone a seller? I saw a nice 06 with 15k miles, 09 AMG63 rims new tires, asking $65k. Didn't accept my offer of $52.5.

I found an 05 sl55 with 30k miles needs tires, has plain rims two with rash, good cosmetics, perfect service records, in Atlanta for $42 ask. That's the best I've seen. Any leads out there?

Yes.

Note that they are all still sitting. Most of those prices listed just are not working at this time.

2013 SL550 (Lux Sport), 2006 CL55 AMG (Muscle). S550 (Wife's Sedan)
Hold out until you can find a low mileage CPO, (Certified Pre-owned) from an Authorized MB Dealer. Then purchase the additional 2 years of extended CPO warranty which is available to you at the time of purchase, for a total of 3-years or 100,000 miles of CPO warranty.

This is the ONLY way I buy a used Benz, and I have bought a lot of them in my lifetime. In fact, I have 3 of them in my garage now. A 2006 CL55 AMG, a 2005 CL500 that my wife drives, and a 2003 SL500 with AMG Sport Pkg. All were CPO's.

You will have harder time selling a White SL55, and I'm not sure you are getting that discount here. The roof/wheels are a really minor issue.

I love my parktronic, that's a feature worth paying for

Just my .02...

but given the marketplace, both of those cars are quite expensive. They had better be absoutely new (and even so, that is 06 money, not 05). Contrary to the other post, Pewter is death on resale, white is much easier. If you plan on keeping it forever, doesn't matter I guess.
I would keep looking. There are better values out there, and Jan/feb will bring even less activity on these cars.

Really?

Around here (northern CA) I noticed the black ones sell the fastest and then pewter, where certainly dark/light blue, champagne, gold, etc.. are DOA.

I agree that reds & whites appeal to some people, but I always assumed silver/pewter is an easier sell.
