E55
Opinion Needed

So I figured it is time to get rid of the SL and get into a 4 door sedan. Figured I would get an unbiased opinion from here opposed to the e55 group. I was going to pick up a CLS last week, but didn't like it that much. Im going to get either the E55 or S55k this week, but cant make up my mind between the the two. Which one would you guys go for and why? Thanks in advanced.

Looking for CLS55 AMG
the CLS and S55 are completely different cars. The S55 is a very roomy car whereas the CLS55 has no back seat at all. If you're looking for space get the S

Im deciding between the E55 and S55. I didn't like the CLS at all. Also the CLS does have 2 rear seats.

Which S55? The W220, or W221? If it's the W220, I say E55, if it's the W221, I'd get that one.

The W220 was infamous for electrical gremlins, I do believe.

Both the E55 and S55 are 2005 models. I would love to get the w221, but out of my price range. Which ever car I do get I'm def. getting an extended warranty cause the with the SL the warranty company paid over 16k in a little less than 3 years. My issue is deciding between the big body and comfort of the S and the many options available to mod the E.

When I test drove the CLS, for some reason I didn't fancy it that much. I guess because my last three mercedes were all coupes I'm looking for something more spacious now.

Might be a little tough to get a warranty on a 2005 AMG these days. I'd research that first.

The dealership is offering the same GMC warranty I got from them for my clk and sl. I've had no problems with them at all, but I'm calling right now to make sure the Warranty is good for the AMG, and if everything is good will be picking up the E55 tomorrow!!

It's a beautiful car, but the whole mod thing is a negative for me. The E has so many options as far as the exterior goes. Your car looks real nice

Mercedes E55 AMG (2006), Mercedes 560 SEL (1991)
The e55's quicker and more aggressive but the s55 is bigger and perhaps more comfortable in the back. But, hell, you're going to be doing the driving, so I'm plumping for the e55...

SL55 AMG
Omar go S55 or CLS55 .... way too many E55 out there and for a roomy sedan the CLS or S chassis will give you what you want with the AMG for a good deal of power.
