**Dyno** LTH, 180mm, Tune
i've been mod sober for a while now, just running my headers and thats it. Keeping myself busy with MBH. So today the addiction overwhelmed me and the results were a gain of 98wtq and 58whp over my header only setup.
We started the mods monday, but due to 2 bad I/C pumps and a blown relay It made more a boat load of time chasing our tail. To only realize the dealer sold me a bad I/C pump. We were able to pin point it to the new pump after some tests. I was a little upset, because I hate working on something twice. I almost even questioned, if I should have stayed away from modding.
After many aborted runs on the dyno for high IAT's we go the issue resolved. I have to say... If I ever have to strap down another car on the the dyno. It better not be for a long time.
As I said before, My only mod was long tube headers. Then I mated that with a 180mm pulley and a Dyno-Comp custom matched dyno tune for 91 octane. I have to say I was expecting the peak power to be around the 500whp area. However the torque very much exceeded my guess.
I can't wait to get this car out to the track. Maybe some street tire passes this weekend. Next up throttle body, H/E, Airbox, and whatever else crosses my mind.

Makes more on the dyno than mine.
But then again, you know how I feel about dyno numbers. Great gains though! Let's see some trap speeds now!

Thanks Mike, it's been a battle.
Can't wait to see your traps. Your car is making some serious power!
BTW, I dyno'd at only 484/610 on a Dyno Dynamics, last I checked.
But that was before I switched to my Jeremy tune.

I know how it is.. I've been there and I've been following your ups and downs that have finally got you to this point. Sometime chasing a number is such a grind. I just glad people are still trying to push their cars. What are you running for tires at the track?

Nice gains! To think that's only a pulley, LT's and tune. Damn your headers speak for themselves.... Every time I see MBH threads it always has me wondering about doing some LT's and ditching my original plans with this car all together.

Just a side note: My brother who has a CLS55 just did the same mods Headers, pulley & tune. He made 505whp and 575wtq. I think I spent more time on the dyno letting my ECU learn up. I did a bunch of driving yesterday with a bad I/C pump. So my ECU was pulling timing. It literally made no power over just headers. with my bad I/C pump. So we took the extra time on the dyno to make sure the ECU was fully adapted. I wanted to get to 600wtq so bad, but it just wasn't meant to be, yet. Other than that it was very consistent on the dyno, with the stock I/C HE setup.

SL55 headers? not long at all. we've gotten pretty good at making SL55 headers fast. I'll have the H/E next week.

I know you've been in contact with Wade about the HE for me and next week sounds good, I can get the to get him for install. Now onto the headers, what do you need to get started on a set $$$ and whats the wait time after funds are received?

Since you are in AZ, Pro Auto Sports is having a Sat/Sun event this weekend.
It is a road course, so you will have to negotiate corners, rather than step on the gas and 'hold on'!
I have had the SL55 on road courses and it is actually very good. The last time I was out with the other instructors, my 55 stayed even with a Z06...... lap after lap...... until my brakes went away! You can't quite overcome 4K pounds, but it is huge fun, and challenges you, your car, and you can get a tan.... which is tough when playing on a dyno!
