Hi guys..
I'm considering a 2003 SL55 AMG but am new to these cars. I was wondering at 52XXX miles, what kind of maintenance does it require? What parts need changing at this age? What should I watch out for? And finally, what is the right price for such a car? Does the fact that the car is a lemon/manufacturer buyback mean one should avoid it? I have attached the carfax report.
Thanks in advance!!!

Im always weary of Lemon/buy backs. These things can get costly, especially if you keep having problems. i'd pay a little more and have the peace of mind something wont go wrong monthly....

I would never buy a 2003 that's already had 6 owners in 52K miles. Think about that....

Do not price shop these cars. The cheap ones are cheap for a reason. I looked at 10 SL55/600s before I realized that I was going to have to pay extra for a 1-2 owner, clean, low mileage car. The last thing you want to do while searching is 'sort by price' and pick the cheapest.

Car FAX
From the CFax it looks like the car may have a consistent engine management system ECU complaint that keeps getting addresses.....I have never seen an ECU check, etc. listed so many times on a used car fax..........

Stay away from this car....IMHO
