Its quite a story, actually......I fell 70' from a balcony. Broke some vertebrae, ribs and pelvis. Also a long string of internal injuries - I had lost nearly half of my blood from internal bleeding when the EMT's got me to the hospital. I was lucky to be 15 min away from a level 1 trauma center in Milwaukee. Good news is that my prognosis is for a 100% recovery. I would say that its a miracle.....I was alone when it happened, at 9:00pm on a Sunday night during a thunderstorm. No one knew where I was - I had my iPhone in my pocket and it survived, so I was able to call for rescue. I'm looking at life a whole lot different now, and I don't go anywhere (okay, well maybe church is an exception) without my iPhone!
We should always count our blessings. Life can turn on a dime - even faster than our cars.
Take care!
