Single Slat grill for R230 SL
There's a particular web site that sells single slat grills as well as a few other styles for the 03-06 R230 SL. I used to have it but I can't seem to find it.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm pretty sure it's somewhat of a well known site, I'm just not able to locate it at the moment. I think they sell them around $250. The site has a black background.

I have a single fin grill from 55tech. The grill have good quality and fits and looks nice, but it do not work so good with the distronic. It works on and off, and I often get a message saying "clean the sensor".

Can anyone please post pics on a silver or light color SL..thanks...yes its easy to swap out , four bolts on top i think.

I honestly think the 3 slat sport grill on the 2007-2008 SL's look best.
The single slat grill can look great from some angles but really awkward from other angels.
That said, I have the single slat grill on my car.
I also think painting the 4 slat grill black (but leaving the emblem chrome) looks sick.
My old 2006 SL55 with painted grill:
My current 2004 SL600 with 1 slat grill (carbon fiber tape covers the chrome part of the slats):

I agree on the oddness of the 1 slat and the three slat is best, just doesnt fit on my 05. Mine is actually painted black chrome ( dark grey) and REALLY looks good and makes star stand out, just thinking of a change.

i got the single slat grille from 55tech also....it fit and it went on in one minute...huge improvement in the looks department.....love it....
