1000 HP SUPER TRANS BUILD

My car has been in Florida for a while getting the tranny built. As many of you know the tranny had reached its limits last year at the Texas Mile but really crapped out at this March's event.

Total invoice was near 5k. The car was picked up by reliable yesterday and should be in my hands soon but I may not get a chance to really tell you about it until the real test in October.

The ecu and tcu got some upgraded software to handle a few "issues".

I never thought about asking the builder to snap some pics (totally forgot) but I can always post a copy of the invoice for those that need "more detail".

Hopefully we'll FINALLY be able to tell if all the extra work done after the March 2010 Texas Mile 198mph, really added more power and with the October event around the corner, hopefully we'll see the other side of 200.

If so, I'll probably celebrate with the gift that keeps on giving...A Widebody kit.

Wow. Can't wait to see this run in October. 200 should be fair game, if the conditions are right.

$5000 certainly isn’t too much for a bulletproof transmission. Frittered away more than that making GM gearboxes survive.

Good luck at the mile.

Yeah no kidding. I think I had more than that tied up in a PPG gearset and two posi diffs (one for front, one for the center) for my old Subaru.

Turbos are roughly hybrid gt35 equivalent (I think, since its been so long) but I cant remember the split between the hot and cold size. We switched it out so many times , hell I lost track. I will tell u that there is some lag.
Misha and prior are still in my thoughts. Once we break 200, I'll move forward but not before since as u know drag will be an issue.

Holy Sugar

So I finally took the car for a quick spin on a 35mph zone with 93 octane and holy sugar !!

The most obvious was how ez it spins tires at 60. It did before the build but it required more throttle.

I did manage a part throttle at around 70 (not sure how far down my foot was) and it easily spun the tires. I was no where near the floor. I dont trust those big turbos when they spool up.

I wrapped it up after about 10min (dont need to push my luck in a 35 zone) and got on the phone with Marcin and said, "Well it worked...."

I can only imagine what she'll do with full boost/full throttle.

For those that sent me a few PMs asking how the heck can I stand waiting so long b4 taking this thing on the highway. The answer is I get home late and the last thing I want to do is haul my butt to the highway after a long day at work. Even on the highway I have to drive for ever b4 I really have enough open road to floor this thing. It doesnt take much to get up to crazy speeds in this thing.
As for the weekends; I leave town but soon enough I'll have a chance to "really test" n report.

Spinning at 70?! Good grief! I can break mine loose at 60, but only at full throttle in the winter months.

Bad ***! And be safe out there. Sounds like she may be a bit unruly.

Hey I'm open to anyone whose feeling generous & wants to loan me one.

I am as curious as anyone on the 60-130 outcome.
