Guys I think this may be the one. Your thoughts.
Leaning towards the first one since it already has a warranty in place

First one. The warranty is worth about 4 grand.
The second one has the wrong tail lights, probably resulting from a rear collision.
The 3rd looks all greasy inside and has the wrong wheels. Standard SL500 wheels for some reason.

Thanks for the quick analysis. Should I even be bothered with a PPI since it already has a warranty? I am about the call the seller now about the details.

The warranty with the first car is aftermarket so I would not put a lot of faith in it without seeing the contract to be able to read what is covered and whether it is exclusioary or a named component warranty.
All of these are high mileage. They all seem to be similarly optioned, although the second one has parktronic if that matters. With that much mileage the history report will be absolutely crucial. I would say without the history I would skip any of these cars as they are expensive to repair.
I am not looking to rain on your parade. I just bought a high mileage 2005 SL55 but that car was very clean, service was super well documented, and it was still in CPO when I got it. With these cars the service is more important than the mileage. Buying without the history is like gambling.
Good luck in your search.

Hey Marcus.....got your email.
Clayton (Benz-O-Roma) and Zaddick is right on the money. Clayton provided some good insight on the 2nd and 3rd car's mismatch parts. Definitely get a PPI car or have a dealer check it over before purchasing. I know you're only going to keep it for a couple of years but it's a piece of mind to have it looked over.
Also....if you can get a dealer to pull up the service history from the vins. I'll check my guy if he can do it again for ya.

The car looks clean. Read that warranty carefully. I don't see an exclusion list, and I also don't see mention of convertible top or suspension (ABC) components. These items, tend to be the most pricey.

Re: Car Search
I'd personally spend a little more and find something with about half the miles.
That being said, of these three, I'd also go with car #1 provided the warranty checks out with regards to coverage and, equally important, that your local MB dealer will work with them.

I'd go for the first one as well, right color and the right wheels. The mileage wouldn't work for me but if you have the right warranty the price is right. I don't think that is the warranty I would want on that car. Buy a quality warranty and tell the dealer he can keep his and knock off 3-4 grand and you're in business. Good luck.
