TT Motorsports "Velocity-Raptor" CAI

This CAI is BANANAS!! Just installed it this afternoon (Clayton you should have this on your record smashing SL, but... Someone didn't take Shop Class in High School)

All kidding aside Bruce @ TTM hooked a brutha up n' here's my review: Huge Turbo BOV sounds, & will def ADD
some ponies (especially if you
have a MishaDesigns hood or
another vented variety)
Though even w/otherwise
STOCK hood/SL it will benefit
greatly.. here's crummy cell phn
vid (but the sounds are
REDONKULOUS!!)
& some pix..

WTF!

I honestly couldn't get this to fit on mine. That stupid SBC pump was jacking it all up. So weird....

I must be retarded.

2005 C55 AMG - 2018 340i - 2006 SL55 AMG - Sold
I hate to be a negative nancy...but is this "safe" for the long term? It looks like this only fits without the engine cover and two of the air filters are resting right on top of the valve covers. In addition, all 4 air filters are going to suck in hot air...unless you have a vented hood. Even with a vented hood, I'd think a ram air setup (with air being forced through hood vents or openings in the front grill) would produce more power.

The sound is great though!

Whatever we're tuning!
The original designer of this intake helped me with the implementation of larger diameter tubing compared to other intakes for the 600/65. The original VRP/Vadim prototype installed on a S65, that also has the original VRP top mounts, was used to increase the pipe diameter and for fitment purposes.

This is the TTM prototype that was sent to a flatulation expert who could not fit it on his SL due to................................DINOSAUR BRAIN! Clayton is my BOY!

Possible composite construction is going through a cost analysis hopefully soon.

PS Sean your car looks and sounds INCREDIBLE!!

i was just about to post the same after i saw the pics.

this setup might add to sound fx, but you will lose power from it as iat will be through the roof especially after a heatsoak.

Yeah, I'm a 'tard.

It was a million degrees outside, my kids wouldn't leave me alone, and I was trying to get ready for Timmayfest. I probably rushed it.

Sounds great, but my neck hurts now. I guess I shouldn't have watched it three times.

wheel..
Will make much better
future vid after I make a fixed
