upgrade performance to 63? if power is the only thing you are after- i am not sure you need any upgrades.
the 63 gets the nod at higher speeds (once the 55 is in 4th), but that is about it in a straight line...

Saw an SL55 with 20's on ebay the other day; imo 20's start getting a bit too big and tractorish on that chassis. 19's are a little more reasonable. Maybe, though, 19's front and 20's rear might work but in any case, with 20's you definitely have to lower the car because it looks like an offroader otherwise, and at that point query whether the wheels are gonna rub all over the damned place.

Here's my car, on 20" Vossen CV3s. 255/30/20 and 305/25/20 rubber, lowered.

20's are the perfect size on the SL, IMO. There will be absolutely ZERO rubbing, if you purchase wheels with the correct offset and correct rubber size.

The wheels are 20x9 - Offset +25 in front and 20x10.5 – Offset +30 in back. The front and back weigh 27 and 28 pounds respectively. Direct bolt on and hub centric, with no spacers or hub rings. Simply put, a perfect fit.

What a great looking car in the video..the shots and sequences are timed perfectly to the music. Good job to the director and all those involved. A very high end production.
