It looks amazing, Mercedes is killing BMW in looks. BMW has really ****ed up with their designs, the new M5 looks harmless and peaceful. The new E63 looks mean and sexy and so does the CLS. The S Class is amazing and so is the CL. What about the SLS 
In fact without stating all the models, nearly every Mercedes now is gorgeous and sexy. BMW on the other hand is just ugly. The Z4, 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, X5, X6 etc They made really sexy cars with the E46 M3s and the E60 M5s and the E39 M5s but it seems they've had seizures when designing their newer models. Even the old Z4 was nice and had it's own look. This new SL is going to be SEXY I just know it, Mercedes is at an all time high in terms of aesthetics.

If anything on that car looks good, then that part is simular to R230...

Same here.Plus the R230 has the best variety of fun and powerful engines.
The supercharged V8 in the SL55 and the twin turbo V12 in the 600 and 65 are now dead and gone.
I'm sure the new twin turbo V8 will be nice, but I'd rather have a twin turbo V12, and the 55k engine is the most fun engine Benz has ever built (IMHO).
I think we can expect the roof to open and close in the same fashion. It looks like they didn't even bother to change roof formation.

SL65 (V12s are not "dead and gone") is coming late in the Summer 2012.

Good catch on the caliper. Check the mirror and the low,wide sloping trunk lid. Looks like its going to have a droopy butt. Heavy masking on the hood hiding what looks to be lots of curves. Looks like the new SL will be a bit wider in its stance as well judging by the mirror placement.

they should go with the the "german revolution" and modernize the r230
that box in the front and the rectangular headlights are atrocious
they are utilizing the most unattractive parts of the sls on this, smh.
