SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Just picked up my SL 55!
The car is Pewter/Charcoal with Panorama, Keyless go, Active seats, TPM, Bixenon and turbine wheels. I haven't quite opened her up as I am strictly observing break-in procedures, but I can sense there is a MONSTER dormant beneath the hood.
I have a question:
1) Do the side mirrors electronically fold in, for parking in tight spaces??
Pics to follow soon. The panorama really looks good with Pewter!!

I have also seen panorama with the silver and it does look great as well. I think any of the silver, pewter and black colors would look great with Pan roof

I paid 5k over MSRP, but I was able to get 4k over the trade-in price on my M5, so I guess I paid 1k over.

Thanks for the reply guys. My friend uploaded the pics on BMWM5.com, as I am clueless on how to do these things. anyhow, if you would like it is under the "competitors to the M5" section of the website.

So, in theory, you change the switch on the centre console (to have the fold in/out button(s)) (which are on that semicircle of switches), change the mirrors to mirrors with motors, and tell the door controller and the lower-control-panel that it now has folding mirrors.
BTW, they fold in nicely and save them being knocked off in tight spaces. (or when your wife reverses it out of the garage - luckily she only broke the cover/repeater - the mirror glass is serious $$)

I bought the car from Wagner Motor Sales in Boylston, MA. Great bunch of guys from my salesman, Jeff Gourd, to the GSM and the GM, Henry an Mike. I highly recommend anyone who wants to buy a MB to give them a try.
Doctodd33,
I agree. But with the "trendy" colors you just don't know. I am extremely happy though
It is one fantastic vehicle. I picked up mine about five weeks ago
and am really happy with it. I only wish the weather was warmer
and drier so I could use it more often with the top down.
Mine is Obsidian Black with charcoal. I've got black birdseye maple
which looks great with the black "plastic" housings of the
instruments on the center console. I've got the panorama glass
roof and parktronic. I had a set of 19" Brabus Monoblock VI
installed which puts the "frosting on the cake". The car is
beautiful and gets a lot of attention.
I live in Brookline, so if you ever want to get together to compare
notes, let me know. In the meantime, ENJOY your SL55!
