Talk about a Virgin

How innocent? The kind of car a father saves for years and years until his son is old enough to thrash on it when nobody is around. Can we say Ferris Bueller??? Can't be too many around with this mileage, its almost as insane as the asking price, then again what do you compare it to? Try and find another let alone for sale.

What a colossal wast of money at that price! Too many miles to make it a collector car but a price that a dealer would have asked for in 2006 or 2007. Good luck to that guy.

Saving for a rainy day......

I would guess that the car will bring near 100k, but that is about it....I might be wrong, but don't think so......lots of car for even that.....

They made 351 SL 65 AMG cars for the US in 2005 and about 1,100 for 2005-2008 model run making it somewhat rare in the older body style versus today's SL 65.....

Has to be the lowest mileage on a pre-owned SL 65 in the US.....

The $147,000 asking price is a joke. The seller is just fishing, hoping to snag a fool.

Mercedes in general depreciate way too fast to let them sit in the garage. If you don't drive them then what value are you getting from the $2000-$3000 per month depreciation this car drops in its first three years? My 2009 SL65 has nearly 25,000 miles and I plan on putting at least 10,000 miles per year on it. I put in extra effort to maintain its appearance. If at anytime I feel its is looking worn I'll have it repainted and reupholstered. Or more likely I'll be ready to move on to another car.

Falcon Sprint is dead-on with comments...use um and then most likely lose um....buy something else......

Even at $100K all you would do is look at it with those kind of miles, most wouldnt consider driving it at all. You could buy 2 for $50k a piece and enjoy driving them. Even from $100k it will take a long time to go up in value in my opinion and a good chance to still go down before then. Its more for someone who has 2 of everything and billions in oil money. They could find a place for it to gather dust in a climate controlled garage in the middle of the desert.

Not worth it. Besides, it's not healthy for a car to be kept in the barn so long.

Re: SL65

Problem with this type of car is, once you start to drive it and put a few miles on it, it is worth.....what every other 05 SL65 is.

Looked at the sticker, only option is keyless go, i.e. this car is not really optioned out. Add to that no warranty, and factor in that the car may need a thing or two from sitting so long, and one realizes this does not seem to be such a great deal even at a more realistic price point.

Did you guys notice that the VIN is being reported as invalid, and an actual report cannot be run?

I call BS and/or serious red flags, I don't think this is a legit sale.
