I wouldnt pay $10 K for it ..even for pats , anyone who would do that to any Benz .. god only knows what else has been done

You are right on the money....its not even an SL55 any more, let alone a SL65 and with 150,000 miles.....it pretty much worth nothing more than a parts car.....expect the repair bills to start rolling in by the boat load at this point

That is a travesty on so many levels...the AMG decal on the headrests gave me a chuckle. That is a poseur on another level...

I saw this the other day, and was going to post on another MB forum where they have a special thread for "fakes." Didn't want to be that new user upsetting a veteran poster, had the owner been on the forum 
I thought that by having such a nice car to begin with, it was taboo to commit these atrocities. The V12 badge is just over the top. If anything, the mileage is a testament for longevity.

This must be a veeery sick individual.
Or/and, he must do his home work, because WHERE does this car look like a 2008 SL65..???!
He actually thinks his poor try with the tail pipes does it.
But it's not even near the 2005 tail pipes!
And just look att the stock SL500 front bumber, how he put some tape on to the mid section, in his miserable try to "resemble" the 2008 AMG bumber..!
Not to mension all the emblems everywhere...
The list can just go on and on...
Don't know if I should cry, or just laugh my a** off!
But one thing is for sure here;
That is such a WASTE of a once beautiful SL500!

What I can never understand when I see stuff like this is, what was wrong with having an SL500? What a beautiful car it is to begin w/ you've got to try to go and make it something it isn't? I think way too many of us forget how lucky we are to own and drive such great cars.
