What do you guys/girls think about next year's all-new Porsche 911 turbo coupe and cabriolet coming with some new tech and a tri-turbo engine? The 2011 997 Turbo S with the PDK transmission has been timed at zero to 60 MPH in 2.6 seconds here in the U.S...... so this new turbo, which will be both lighter yet stronger, with newly upgraded PDK-S transmission and a more powerful engine with less turbo lag and quicker take-off, should hit 60 MPH in 2.4 seconds no problems.....one of the ultimate daily drivers ever then? Sounds cool.... (Now just imagine what the 2014 Turbo S and the later GT2RS tri-turbo with that transmission and the lighter weight over the normal turbo coupe will do.....mind-boggling to say the least.....we might see a turbo S hit 60 in 2.3 seconds and the GT2RS (if they let it keep AWD instead of RWD) hit 60 in 2 seconds flat...... the normal turbo next year should have about 550 HP, the Turbo S should then have between 580 to 600 HP, and the GT2 should then have 600 to 630 HP and the final and ultimate version, the GT2RS, should then logically have between 660 to over 700 Horsepower.....

i would like to see the gt2rs with 650+hp hook from a dig on street tires...
i think we are reaching a point where how much hp you make is irrelevant the first 120 mph. street tires and street surface are not going to allow putting that power to the ground at lower speeds.
so... it is all for bragging rights.
now, awd cars- that is a whole different story. i think their practical limit is 800-1000hp before they start having problems at sane speeds.
but... i agree- good times for us

The normal Turbo and Turbo S will for sure be AWD atleast.....
The normal Turbo and Turbo S will for sure be AWD atleast.....The GT2 and GT2RS we'll just have to wait and see about.....but nevertheless just the sheer acceleration potential for them is gonna be unbelievable...
