MBH headers + 3" exhaust + x-pipe sounds too tame

My current exhaust is MBH headers into 3" exhaust, x-pipe and stock mufflers (no cats and no resonators). The sound isn't really any louder than it was with just the resonators deleted except it's a bit louder at WOT. Anyone have any experience with aftermarket mufflers? Are they that much louder than stock and do they have any drone?

Electronics cutouts, mellow when you want to be and insane at teh flick of a switch. Or you can just dial in the sound by only opening the cutouts a little bit. I love mine.

I may end up going that route since I can't find anyone who has an exhaust to hear in person. Also I have a strange sound/feel in the steering wheel when making left hand turns after the install. I was wondering if it's a steering shaft clearance issue or if one of the cars systems needs to be reset after I disconnect steering shaft for install. Any thoughts?

I've got Meisterschaft race exhaust going on later this week, so I'll let you know how it sounds.

I have the exact same system but it's on CLS 55 and it sounds scary! I have people give me the finger & thumbs up on a daily basis. You should look into CLS 55 mufflers, very loud at WOT!

I've actually posted in the past about the CLS mufflers as I hear they sound much more aggressive. The SL mufflers are louder at WOT than stock with the headers but idle is nearly stock. How does the CLS sound at idle?

Meisterschaft Race exhaust is on

I love the sound. It's actually quieter than my previous Magnaflow setup at crank, idle, and lower RPM's, but screams at WOT. I'll work on a sound clip.

I use DMH electric exhaust cutouts and love them. Way better quality then QTP. you can open them 100%, run closed or anywhere in between. It allows you to adjust the exhaust sound to whatever decibel you decide for that particular moment, all controlled by a electric switch inside the car....

I have no mufflers, just straight pipes with the original tailpipes welded back on so looks stock. There is a video on here I posted a while back.

Like mentioned on WOT I either get a thumbs up or blow people over :p
