Question about SL65 rotors 16"
Hello , to all the pro's .. is there any OEM option for the SL65 that offered 16" rotors by MB ? they would be a two piece design ..on my Renntech CLS 2006 I have Renntech 8 piston calipers and 16" rotors originally supplied by Renntech , I need to replace the friction ring( rotor ) hopefully and saving the hats .. or replace the whole rotor assembly ...obviously the bracket for the calipers is designed for the 16 rotor size .. if anyone knows if MB offered a 16" rotor would you please give me the specs on it and part number.. THank you in advance , Max

Yes , I did , Renntech switched the supplier they used for the rotors I have , they say that the new ones ( rotors ) wont fit .. so the only way is for me to either change the brakes , change the brackets , or possibly , buy the new 16" rotors with the hats they have now .. which means they may or not work with the older style Renntech calipers which are on my car !!

65 rotors
The 65 front rotors are 15.4 inches I believe, about $ 1,100 each for the front OEM....
I don't know if there is an aftermarket 65 rotor available....I believe EVOsport was to develop one, but not sure......
You'll have to search around a bit to see....
Originally 65 had 8 pot calipers and changed to 6 pot in the front in 2007...
Rear rotors were about 14 inches plus and expensive.....4 pot calipers....

These will be sold as a complete assembly and direct replacement for OE and include the hat and outer ring much like our existing 360mm rotors. In the future, you can purchase our outer discs and not have to replace the hats. You cannot do that with factory units.

I guess I have to accurately measure what Renntech states a 16" .. 390mm = 15.4" .. also the Renntech calipers are 8 pistons but they look slightly different than the AMG ones , I know they are Brembo but they are what Brembo refers to as the G model caliper.. I am mentioning that because I am sure the brackets they used are to set up the caliper for a 16" rotor , using a slightly smaller rotor will misalign the rotor to the caliper .. right ? Also , my car is a W219 CLS55 .. would the hat/rotor assembly work for that given the offset , Thanks, Max
