I was unable to email or PM you, so it appears I will be replying on this thread!
Do you ever go to ChinaTown? I was with a friend July 19 (I only know the date because we were attending a car show). We were in his M3, not his SL55, when we saw another 55, silver, parked on the side of the road. It had the stock rims, and we couldn't tell anything else... Perhaps this was you?? I am sure the odds are slim, with this being a popular car, and silver being a popular color, but worth an ask.
We're having a car drive on Saturday, August 9. We are meeting in downtown Seattle at 8:15, driving to Anacortes together, and taking the 11:00 Ferry to San Juan island. We will get lunch, check out the gift shops, etc., and then drive around the coast of the island taking various pictures. We will probably catch a 5:00 or so ferry home.
There will be several M3's, a couple SL55's (only 2
), a few 911's, etc... We're all enthusiasts and love talking and hanging out with competitive owners, as well as test driving their cars! Our last one was very fun, and I would love to have you make it to this one.

It really does sounds like Great Fun. Unfortunately, we have other plans for the weekend. Touring the islands is extremely enticing, but a ferry ride will have to wait.
Saw the photos from a previous get together...Gorgeous...
As for being the owner of the SL noticed in Chinatown, it's not me. Although, with that said, I may be familiar with the one mentioned.

So I didn't resize this one either. But here we are at Roche Harbor, across the Island from Friday Harbor. Very nice drive around the island. Not sure why we didn't find a better place to take pictures!
