I had a set of those rims on my 2005 SL55. Nice looking rims, they came off a 2008 SL65. Mine I believed fatigued after many miles and cracked very easy. Ended up pulling them off as the previous owner had the cracks welded on the right front and the left rear, not sure what he hit to cause the damage. I never noticed the welds until I had the wheels off the car a month after I bought it. I changed them up for safety reasons. Ended up cracking the right front, loss tire pressure ( no TPS ) and the tire ripped to shreds at 160 km's , bit of a hairy ride bringing it to stop before it ripped my wheel well out. I was very fortunate as it sounded like it was causing major damage. If you have nice roads with no pot holes you should have no problems. It only takes one sunken manhole cover or a sewer to write them off. There is a thread on the forums of other owners mentioning that they are a fragile rim. Only thing I didn't like was that they showed the brake dust and need constant cleaning. The matte finish also scratches easy. Priced a new set from MB Canada and they were just over $8k, seen a few used sets online around $4k which is a good deal. I opted out for the 5 spoke gun metal look which are a breeze to clean and don't show the brake dust.

Actually, I have a set of those in my garage that came off my '07 SL55, that is also in my garage. As you probably know, these wheels were an option. The tires on the front are gone because of the negative camber, and the rears have about 50% tread. I don't know if the offset will work on anything but an SL.
