A matte finish is just a matte or flattened clear, really shouldnt cost more than a normal paint job. Base colors are cheap unless you are doing a crazy harlequin or something. $60 an ounce for that stuff!!! Most metallic bases are around $250 a gallon with reducer. Enough for most any car.

well my spacers finally came so got wheels secured finally to be able to drop car down. spacers are hubcentric to car and wheels, so they should work fine.
made one of my infamous splitters for the front for function of both aero but mostly to protect the nose! i may raise the car a touch in the front as i am only about 2.5" off the ground in front. the splitter will be hung by cables though, so i will raise it about an inch in the center. with the side splitters and the lifted rear wing, it should have that track fresh look!!

But please tell me those spacers/offsets aren't final? The wheels esp the fronts are WAY to sucked into fender wells looks very off.. Mine are about another 2+ inches outward & no rubbing issues even on lowest susp settings

PS check my old build thread, my body panels required very litttle tweeking
Just noticed your extra add-on front lip, looks very cool but you're going to sheer it clean off in no time. My regular Misha front bumper scrapes even on raised sports II setting when driving thru some of those horrible low dipping driveways etc

in the last pics i didn't have the panels bolted together, i have been able to get it near perfect. but, getting it to 90% is usually quick, it is the last 10% that takes all the time!

yup, those spacers are final fitment. it is hard to tell, but my wheels are cambered abit. i will need room to if i decide to run a more tire friendly camber setting. if the tires were at only .5 degreee, they would be very close to the edge. the front was also the limitation. i am just touching the inner metal work when turned almost to lock. any further out and i greatly loose turning radius. so back is matched to that. my lowest setting is super low also. nose is 2.5" off ground.
any further out with my set up and look i am going for i think would not look as good.
i did look at your build pics very carefully. all the same little areas needed attention, but mine seem to be super exaggerated! i still need to grind 1/4" off the hood to match fenders!! yours fit WAY better than mine.
the front splitter is made of abs. it is flexible so anything it hits it just bends over. it is fastened to bumper bottom with about 10 screws per side with backing pieces behind that the screws go into. the center section has a piece of alum angle riveted to it to fill in the higher center piece, and cables will attach to the bumper support off of the alum angle. simply put, if anything happens to it, there would have been enough force to rip the bumper from the car in the first place!! lol. i build the same abs splitter for all my projects for the last 8 years. i know how to attach them so there is no problems. it really saves the hell out of your frp bumper and paint jobs!! being abs it just slides over stuff.

Ahh excellent install process/material on splitter (I dig both splitter/lip look & ur ideas on raising rear trunk spoiler/wing)

PS we shaved inner fender lips both front/rear to make wide wheel fitment NOT rub, but it sounds like you have it under control Give me a call got some info for ya...

i did double check, and ya, the wheels would be past fender if i stood the tires straight up. so i am about maxed out. i did shave off some extra material inside the lips also just incase too. once i hit the inner fender on turning, i knew i had to stop, lol.
going to run some side splitters too, but out of material atm. lots of other mods going to happen also. it may be hard to distinguish as a misha kit when done.

this has been a week of kick *** here in oregon! for once staying on schedule, and managing to multitask like a ****! to add to the greatness, got my camaro moved to the other single spot in my garage where i was working on the sl, and got the sl moved into the double spot! sounds easy till you realize the frame of the camaro is in 2 sections, front and rear, no wheels, full motor and trans, and body is not connected to anything! front end lifts off in one piece and easy. me and one other guy lifted the whole dam car body up by hand and walked it over to the new spot. i'm not the weakest guy in the world, but my guy was shaking like a dog shi-tting a peach seed!! so, i have literally lifted a car today.
on to the good stuff. for the first time got to pull the car out and look at it in full. crazy! i am now pumped again to get this wrapped up! full access all the way around car and plenty of room. snapped off some pics. finally got a good view of it and dam is it going to look menacing out on the road! more to come!!

hate to say it, but i think front will have to come up a 1/2" or so. the 19/20 set up has it dropped a little to low. actually, the problem is, i just can't get the back to go down anymore!! lol

Been following the thread and great work...I'd live to be able to do most of the mods myself and to be satisfied afterwards...my buddy and I did a lot of work in my last car and when someone's off the only person you can blame is yourself but its cheaper and sometimes fun other then paying big bucks and holding someone accountable for their work...

thanks guys. ya, i like doing things myself for that very reason. only one to blame is myself, but, it seems the quality always is better. or at the very least, acceptable to yourself which is all that counts! lol

ok, i do some of my best car design stuff while drinking large amounts of beer late at night in the garage, haha. i couldn't help but to come up with an idea last night that i think i am going to follow.
the area that is blue taped on the hood would be cut out and a piece of glass or polycarbonate installed to see the supercharger and part of the intakes. what do you guys think? i am also going to use only 2 of the fins supplied by misha in the hood openings instead of 3. if i do the hood window i will paint the hood slats body color as to put more emphasis onto the engine window and keep hood from looking too busy.
i think it will be killer, but pulls a touch away from the track fresh look i am going for. might be in a good way though.

OZ, I think your right, on all counts. Either way its going to be something to behold. I think it looks perfect the way it is.

Sorry for the jizz.
