RennTech or Kleemanns Headers ?

Hmmmmm – what to choose?

First of all; I need cats – In this country you have to go for control each year and the cats are a necessity but I would dare a pair of sports cats – 200 no less.

I have been told that if I chose Kleemans headers, then I will have to combined them with sport cats but if I take RennTech headers, then I can keep my original cats - these two set-up will give the same output in power …….. but why?

RennTech headers are a direct bolt-on to my original cats but the Kleeman’s requires cut + welding.

Which to choose?

If your going to go with headers then do it right, get the MBH long tubes and add race cats.

MBH .......... where I work we say: "Theres no stupid questions ..... only stupid answers" .... so ..... where to put the cats when it's long headers? I mean; theres no room for two "wine barrels" ´underneath in longitude direction ... my exhaust pipes are all scratched due to my lowering ......

we do not have primary cats for the SL55. The bends and the design of the chassis prevent the use of cats on an SL55.

Kleemanns are a mid length and their mid pipes delete the cats.. You could also look into the PLM shorties as you can still maintain your cats.

Headers …. yes …. been thinking of Kleemans + sports cats but that will mean cutting and welding - not that the job is the problem but …… you see – if my car can’t go through the control (every year) then I’m left with a car I cant drive ;(( and a lot of work … again …… so when thinking a little ahead then I think the smarts will probably be to go for Rentech … they should go direct on my original cats …. and Eurocharge tell me the gain in power will be the same as Kleemans ??????? i don't think the thread you posted is really an indication of the quality of header. i know nothing about plm but it would only take about 20 seconds to repair that little damage that looked like a shipping thing. i never understood why people would go through shipping back and all the wait time for such a small thing.
before i found the literal steal on my lth's, i was looking at kleemann pretty hard. would love the mbh (which luckily mine are atleast comparable now) but at the same price of new wheels, twice the cost of a lower pulley and tune and all the other stuff, it was just hard to justify till it was potentially just the last thing once you had everything else.
not sure if you eliminated the kleemann downpipes, you would have room for a cat in that area?

I had the kleemans without cats, but I'm willing to bet you can fit an aftermarket cat system.
