2009 SL63 Price

I am looking to buy a 2009 SL63.
I have located a car with 43k miles, extended warranty, in excellent condition for $78,899.
Any comments will be appreciated.
Thank you.

I just purchased a Mercedes certified 2011 SL63 with nearly every option (silver/black, one owner, premium package, parktronic, panorama roof, etc.). It has 30,000 mostly highway miles and is in like new condition, with the extended factory certified warranty included. Because the car was certified pre-owned, it has been through the 162 point Mercedes inspection/reconditioning, and includes new tires, new brake pads, and full current service. Given that I paid $74,800 (from Santa Barbara Mercedes), I would have to say that the car that you are considering does not represent a great deal. I hope this is helpful, and good luck with your purchase.

Tim

With that kind of mileage I would say around 70k represents a good deal. I recently know of someone who paid 69k for a 2009 with 15k miles on it but it didn't have an extended warranty.

2005 C55 AMG - 2018 340i - 2006 SL55 AMG - Sold
I'm impressed that the SL63's have mainlined their value so well thus far.

That said, I think they are going to fall off the steep end of the depreciation cliff here shortly. The cars are now hitting the 4-5 year old mark and coming off original factory warranty. Add that with the fact that the new model is out and I expect them to start selling in the $50's this year.

Paying $79k doesn't seem like a good deal to me. Wait 6 months. You will save a ton of money.

2009 SL63 25k Miles $69k

I recently purchased a 2009 SL 63 for $69k. It had the premium package (air scarf, massage seats, etc) no pano top. It was in mint condition, looked like it could have just come out of the showroom. There were 2 others in my area for around the same price. Currently best listing in my area is $66k for a black on black with $50k miles.

Also have to watch for bait and switch on listings that look too good to be true... a number of times I don't think there was really a car for sale, use listings to grab leads
