Congrats! I just went on an 8 hr trip through the rockies today...top down...there's nothing like an SL55!!!!! You'll love it.

Drove the 2003 SL55 Diamond Silver light Grey from Tampa To Miami today.
I love the car, but I'm 6'3" and it was a cramped. My S class has me spoiled.

Hmm I'm 6'2" and drove my SL from Chicago and was very comfortable all the way..easiet 14hrs I've ever driven...

Leg room was the issue. When I move the seat back I loose the recline and the seat starts to sit up.

Yep...especially the trunk..with the top down..quite impressive...compared to all other hardtop verts.....

I have had this car for about a week now and I'm very happy with it. It feels faster then my 05 E55. But I think that's because it's lower to the ground.

I hear you, and I feel the same way... Mine doesn't really feel that fast due to the heft..but 11.81 is pretty good for a stock car...
