SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: How can you tell if an SL55 came with P030 performance pkg?

How can you tell if an SL55 came with P030 performance pkg?
Other than the obvious front bumper and different wheels, how can you tell if an SL55 is a real P030 performance pkg car? Is there something in the VIN #? What years was the option available?
I see a few cars for sale out there, even '03's & '04's that have the right bumper and wheels but the dealers don't have a clue what I'm talking about when I ask about the option. Heck, most don't list normal options like Distronic or Keyless Go.

Porsche guy who drives SL63 w/ perf pkg AND perf suspension
you should go to a dealer and have them look up the vin # and see what it has. and you should never buy one of these cars untill you have it taken to a mb dealer and completely inspected so you will know the condition it is in and what it needs
but they have alcantara grip steering wheel, shift knob, 2 piece front brake rotors

My sl55 with 030 has the Alcantara steering wheel but not the shift knob.
Large brake rotors in front .It took me a bit to find it , but was very happy when I did. I found my car due to this forum.
So if your looking for one , take your time. There out there

The 030 option was $14K in the US and included:
19" AMG two-piece alloy wheels and staggered-width tires

Thanks for all the feedback! Any way to find out production numbers? Curious as if it was only available from '06 to '08 and each of those years only had 860, 583 & 464 SL55's produced respectfully, there can't be that many floating around out there.

I was told that 70 were made with 030 option in 2006 and if you start looking at colors and options I;m sure it would be less.
Are you thinking of buying one , what color?
I just did front brakes on mine and the rotors were $900 each at my cost.

mine does not have distronic or Bluetooth.
It does have parking sensors and now Bluetooth set up installed.
other than distronic not sure what other option it would not have. I think the rest are standard Like massage , heated and cooled seats , navigation , rain sensing .
Oh wait , I don't have a spare tire. I do have tire monitoring system.

not sure about design paint and trim ,so no on that as well.
The rest I have.
I think most cars with 030 option will have most of those options.

If you decide to buy the one with the low miles , remember its about time for front brakes and the rotors are a bit for the front of that car. get the vin number and call the dealer for a price. That way you will know.
Check for a Bluetooth system , That would be nice.
