V12-Biturbo
Next SUV/Truck
Option Im leaning to.. Give pros/cons esp ride comfort & overall likes/ dislikes thnx for answers input!
My choices 1) 2010 ML63 AMG less than 25k miles each car
Or close second
2012) Jeep SRT8 would be modified w/set of twins
Bout to test drive by 1 see if they live up the hype thanks, yes both will be modded ML 63 FULL Weistec build etc
(yes the v12tt monsta' stays for life)

You would not regret an ML63. If you we're to put blower on it I would definitely go for Brembo GT big break kit to handle extra power. I have it on mine and the braking power is incredible. I think the SRT8 might just have a better exhaust note stock based on but take out the resonators on the ML and you will be happy.

Gotta say you fellas have a very different interpretation of an SUV or truck than I do. I guess it all boils down to application. I help found an off road club and am a member of two others and this question in those fora elicits completely different responses. In the 4x4 community we would worry a bit about horses, more about torque and the rest would go specifically to is this to be a "mall cruiser" that never sees dirt, an off road touring vehicle, rock crawler, etc. Engine mods, suspension mods, exhaust mods even chassis tweaks are all discussed there when this topic comes up. While I have seen a G wagon out on the trails, never a Porsche and neither really off road anywhere where the consequences are serious if the vehicle is not capable. Good luck with your selection.

the srt8 is rough, fast, but generally a brick. we had a track day where an srt8 club was there too... most of their trucks were modified- some heavily- well... they couldnt get out of their own way on track.. to put it mildly.
i dont know what an ml63 can do. i have tossed a few around the track and on the streets and they were not very confidence inspiring... imo.

Wow SUVs on a racetrack! Everyday your learn something new. Given that most off road driving over and around obstacles happens between 2-5 mph, just not sure how that would look on a race track, lol.

Lol. So true.
But if you are buying an "SUV" that has 500hp plus from the factory and wide high performance tires- you don't have the rubicon trail in mind- that much I know

Excellent point. Indeed, even some of the wacky Australians who are fitting compound turbo setups on older Landcruiser diesels don't dream of half that, lol. Love this forum.

Thank you for posting this vid. Had I not seen it I would not have believed it. With all the love.in the world and due respect to everyone's choices and tastes, a 4x4 belongs on a drag strip about as much as a banana belongs in a mackerel's ***. It is just something that shouldn't occur in nature. I get the guy who, like an aircraft designer might try the most extreme performance mod to an engine just to find the limits of the design so that you can improve the performance of the vehicle in the application it was designed for. As such I will assume that this vid was done by those wacky, crazy science.nuts at.Jeep labs, lol.
