SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: My Silver Arrow SL63 1 of 100
"The SL 63 AMG is a 518hp beast, and Mercedes knew that the only way to make it any better would be to draw upon the company's rich motorsport history. That's why the launch edition came in a bright silver paint, intended to resemble the bare metal of the silver arrow race cars of the '30s".

with the ECU. Because I never heard of one, I would like to know what
else you get besides the paint and interior , which I am sure you could get
done. That just leaves the badge..
Am I the only one that thinks it looks like normal silver.
Perhaps my eyes are on the way out.
The only Silver Arrow I know is the racing one.
I never heard of a Silver Arrow you could buy from a dealer.
Mercedes has been using the Silver Arrow editions to commemorate new releases (as seen here) or, the end of a life cycle (R129).
Yes, both the paint and interior leather is unique as is the black interior trim. The silver is "Silver Arrow Metallic" IIRC.
You would likely not be able to tell color difference on your monitor as computer monitors cannot accurately depict paint colors as seen by the human eye in real life.
No, there are no performance enhancements.
It's a special edition car combining unique paint and trim and many popular/optional features as standard with the package. It is a similar type car to the "Designo" cars of 2003 but with more standard options.
The car is gorgeous looking.

Who offers this crap. It's a silver 2009 SL63 with red/brown interior.
And just for information my 2009 SL63 came with carbon pack, looks
somewhat more exclusive than black wood, It also had 19" rims ,heated airscarf, heated/cooled seats, Pano roof , Paddles , silver of course, not
like black paddles on a silver arrow, all other extras I had, and they can be ordered anyway.
If you can't see the colour on a computer monitor it's not worth showing, to
me it is just an old model, sounds to me like someone is using silver arrow
to sell a ordinary SL with a new paint job.
I don't see any Mercedes dealer offering it, perhaps someone can find out
who is offering this car, If it was Mercedes you would know about it.

It's not surprising the OP owner has one, He's in Bahrain, the GCC countries have a lot of exclusive cars like the G63 6x6, Brabus Stealth BS, or the only SLK with and SLR motor. Maybe the UK didn't get maybe but I found 4 for sale in the US one from the MB dealer themselves
This post reminds me of someone posting the an R129 SL73 AMG thinking it was fake just to be told to do his homework as the R129 SL73 AMG is a super rare car.
Just cause you haven't heard about it doesn't mean it exist, Google makes life easy

cars back in the 50's and earlier. Sure there are silver arrows for sale, but
I never seen one for sale in a MB dealer. None of your links are MB dealers,
look carefully. So what's the big deal, a 2009 SL63 which was the worse SL
made, technically that is, in a shiny silver and muddy red interior. What
do you get that's special, maybe F1 performance no: rolf: you get a badge.
And Mercedes makes a packet, with the extra you pay you could get it re painted any colour and re trimmed and on a 2013 SL63.
Sorry I am not impressed.

Mercedes, perhaps any dealer can do the spray job.
