2005 SL55 AMG
I installed a smartop module in my 2005 SL55. Install was simple and programming is a breeze with a USB cable and their excellent website interface.

This is the best mod I've made to my SL55. It gives any R230 top and windows the functionality it should have had from the factory!

I installed one on my 2003 SL. I can open the top as I'm walking to the car and close while I'm coming up the driveway. Worth every penny.

06 SL65AMG, 13 Tesla Model S 60kwh, 02 Jaguar S-Type 3.0, 12 S550 4 Matic, 07 E320 Bluetec, 06 LX470
I saw one on ebay for r230s for 285 not bad price for a mod like this, I always got sick of the fact we can only lower and raise our tops 5 mph or under, from what I read this allows you to set a limit as high as 60 km/h (roughly 37 mph)

I have had one installed for years now, and mostly love it. It does what it says, and never really fails. The only thing I've had some problems with, is accidentally opening or closing the roof with the one-touch activated. I've hit the button by mistake, then started pulled away from a light rather quickly, with the roof in operation, without even knowing it. But, that's a not a problem of the module, it's user error.

I recommend it...
