Visit Workshop

Don't you hate it when that appears on the dash board.
In fact every time I start my car it comes up ABC Visit workshop, I leave it running for 30 seconds, switch it off, then on again, it is then cleared.
I think it might be because it is not recognising the lowering module.
I am not worried unless one day it wont clear, can you then push the
RennTech key in to put the car back to factory setting. or do you think the
fault lies else where.

I swear...... over the years, you've had more trouble and problems with these cars. I've had my '03 since new and if it had not been as bullet proof as it has been..... it would have been gone!

That's funny I thought it was a world forum, not a US Forum.

One minute I am a sport next a pest, I took your advice to buy a module.
Do you remember, those links tearing my suspension apart, That's why
I take my time and ask lots of questions .
America is a rich country has lots of Mercedes SL, so obviously it is the
country to join a forum that's predominately Americans. If you spent more time on the problem rather than assassinate some ones personality how much better forums would be. Luckily there are genuine members who try to help without bringing personalities into it. There is too much hatred in the world, under the skin we are all the same...

Yes I have never had so much trouble with a SL, I have only had it 6
months so I guess this is the reason the previous owner sold it.
However I do get annoyed with members, I didn't know you were only
allowed 1 or 2 threads
But thanks for your sensible post, there are good and bad SL's I guess
mine is bad, and it's only done 30k miles.

I honestly think the timing of adding the ELM and having ABC issues are simply a coincidence. I have had my ELM for a number of years and no ABC issues. (hate to admit it because they will now pop up) The only issue I have ever seen is easily resolved. If I leave the car slammed with the ELM on and don't drive the car for a few weeks or more, I will often get a red ABC warning about the car being too low. One cycle of the ABC up buttons solves the problem immediately.

Regarding your posts and new threads. I recommend you spend just a few minutes searching the boards prior to creating a new thread. If you can't find your answer, create a thread or post on one with similar issues. To the other members, I suggest you don't click on sound 8 threads if you find them annoying or pop this in and leave. [just kidding ]

I agree !

If you don't like the member or find his threads boring, don't look at them.
I know what subjects gets lots of replies, anything to make your car go
faster, body modifications, Drag times.
I know that ABC has been posted a thousand times, trouble is, when you
have these problems you turn to your buddies : rolleyes: on the forum.
Looking back to find a similar thread would take months.

If you put a thread up, sometimes there are no replies, and it gradually
falls off the screen, so I put another, this time the right person may see
it and give you a real good tip..OR
Perhaps I should offer prize money for answers...let me see

ABC $50
Wheels and tyres $30
Polite and helpful...........name your price..

Knock on wood.... Almost 12 years and very, very few issues of any kind on my '03.
