I saw the chat, looks great so far... but it's still a r230 , pre 2013...maybe I am missing something. But any build for a BS I truly enjoy so I will be watching with anticipation

Thx. For your input. That is why I went with this kit as I was going for a R231 Black series look. It is also a look I have not seen anywhere before so should be quite unique.
What kind of boost could I get using 93 fuel and no custom wastegate. I am upgrading my turbos so I should be increasing air flow quite a bit without the extra boost however I would like to know how far I can go without the custom wastegate. Would you recommend me going down that route?
I have Carlsson 1/10 Ultra lights 20" that I got before I went down the wide body route. They only weigh just over 20lb for 20" which is great however now I am having to run huge spacers to get them to fit which is far from ideal.
I will need to order some custom offset 20" wheels for the new kit, I am not sure what to go with.

Lastly your gonna hate this but trust me, I researched the hell outta it, the giant aluminum spacers you need to fit your Carlsson's is super dangerous for ANY high perf driving or high perf output vehicles, failure is a definite using giant spacers, it's just a matter of how long till they let go/crack/implode... 2 of the largest manufacturers of the highest quality 1 piece forged spacers told me I'd be crazy to do ANY spirited driving on them w/a vehicle that makes the rwhp & esp high rwtq these v12's burp out daily.. & that they were only really made for show cars (not driven much) or for a transitional period while waiting for a proper set of wheels to be completed for the car..
Sure you might hear some guy say this is & how he's driven 1000 hp powered autos for 1,000'nds of miles hiccup free using giant spacers.. But reality states they are probably lying on hp levels & just blind luck they haven't seen catastrophic failure yet.. I decided my MB & more importantly my & the lives of friends/family or strangers that could be put in harms way due to my wanting to save $$ wasn't at all worth it..

Ok back to the RangeRover, I got my Pulley & Lowering Module, some dress up race pedal covers, & some Carbon Fiber bits.. But still waiting on 300 cell cats (should be here mon) then it's onto OE Tuning & Benzwerks for install/tune & some good 4wd Dyno info to see where I'm at..
Installed proper lowering module, works excellent adjustable on the fly too..
Some Carbon Fiber door sills..

I thought I was a petrol head but you ( thericker ) are way ahead of me..
You only just got the RR s and already it will be breathing fire, what does
your wife drive...is it tuned yet .Good news my guy can give my RR
220 bhp, that' around an extra 45 bhp and 110 lb ft torque. for only 350
quid. On the question of the wide body, I don't really want performance
bits, I am out for just the look, and I would love my 20 inch wheels on.
I have a great body shop here that could fit it, so roughly speaking, can you
give me the cost of just the body kit. Then all I got to do is show him a picture of YOUR car.. The retail price would be OK, then any discount would be a bonus. S8.

H&R ETS Expensive but works brilliantly.. Super easy home install..
S8 I left Misha voicemail I'm waiting to hear back from him.. I know the price has to have come down by now there's a ton of widebodies on market now (I paid $11,500 way back 3+ yrs ago when I had the conversion done.. Just for the kit w/Carbon Fiber NO install)
PS nothing against Misha, he has a comparably great product & his customer service was among if not the BEST I've ever dealt with, but... I've said this before as I've seen these new kits pop up & most are hideously over the top in design (some will say this about Misha's aggressive design, so each to their own) or the quality level seen on most of the new kits, it's absolute trash as far as quality fitment is concerned.
Having said all that if I was to do it again today I'd w/out question buy the SPDV6 widebody it is the best as far as replicating oem bk series design & quality, 2nd best is a DISTANT 2nd Prior Design ONLY because their front fenders are a good 2-3" smaller PER SIDE in the actual flair, if you look @ real deal Black Series, or Misha's or SPDV6 you'll see they match the front fender flair width to a T! It brings the entire design together as the front has to match the rear in width, it looks totally off when seen at ALL angles in person & inmop ruins the widebody effect w/puny narrow front fenders you totally lose it's beautiful Coke bottle shape, it simply doesn't pull off the look anymore.. So chk SPV6 out their pricing is exceptionally affordable I saw their adds on eBay entire kit was around $4800.00? If memory serves

Is the Misha kit made from ABS or still carbon fibre, and if I keep my wheels
does that mean big spacers. Will the bearings take that extra load, or will I
have to get new wheels. I just paid my tax bill, so I will start saving my
pennies. Look forward to sending you pics when it is done.
cheers S8

Thanks for all the info, and the time, I have the same thoughts on wide body, I don't like it too over the top, BL ED is nice that's why I like the Misha.

You're very welcome S8! Good luck to you sir Look fwd to your progress.. Yes you have to ditch the wheels read my post above on spacers this large, absolute no go on rigs like ours w/crazy hp & outlandish torque, you will most assuredly grenade the rear spacers, it's just a matter of when/where 1 or both wheels fly off the hubs etc.. Don't risk it..
recommend wheels that will sit under those huge arches without looking
lost. Still waiting for the RR, the guy is taking off his private plate before
I can have it, worried I might put some speeding tickets on his number,
can't understand , I'm just an old guy who pootles about..

Hey Thericker, sorry to jack your thread again but i am trying to find out what the standard boost limits are on the stock wastegate. I would like to know for the 5.5 v12 but if you don't know then for the 6.0 to give me an indication.

I gotta ask, what is more important that it needs that garage space that forces the SL to sit outside under a cover instead of in the garage?

lol converting it into an office.. SL's double wrapped 1st w/inside-cover that's felt lined, 2nd cover's completely waterproof etc.. & She's suckling on her Mercedes only trickle-charger.. Trust me she's very pampered & after all I live in basically 70 deg yr round So Ca weather so I don't think she suffers much.. Hell ALL the RR gets is windshield/Sun reflector cover..

I bought NEW performance slotted & drilled lighter weight rotors, than the heavy stock rotors (Less unsprung weight & Drilled/Slotted = huge advantage in Cooling/Acceleration/Braking/Handling not to mention looks a Gazillion times better vs our lame stock rotors) pix shortly.. Going for install this Wednesday.. How bout a huge laugh @ the rip-off RangeRover Stealership tried to pull on me for install, I bought ALL the parts needed for complete OEM Rotor sized swap on our big Brembo Calipers.. Includes all four Rotors, new Brake Pads, new Sensors... All that's needed is install..
Me "RangeRover, please give your install quote & time needed" Not only are they crooks but they flat lied to me on the time needed to do the swap.. 1st $$$ lol they wanted $770.00 for Labor ONLY! Yes just labor, $385.00 per axle to just install the parts above, I asked twice & made certain it wasn't a mistake, he repeated it all verbatim.. Also he quoted me 4 hours, half a day to just do the swap lol...So I called around & did my due diligence..
Average of (3) shops (1) Indy Euro mech (2) Tire/Brake shops (well known chain stores) Average price for COMPLETE install of Rotors/Pads/Sensors was $280.00 yes $280.00 total BOTH axles.. & the time needed??? they said if they hustled 2 hours but average 2 & 1/2 hours soooo looks liike RangeRover adds 1 1/2 hours install time & wants an extra $490.00 to drag their feet lol yeah certainly I'll give you just shy of $500.00 bux just to have RangeRover Tech do it phhbbbtttt...
After Install the Calipers are going to be painted, I wish I could have it done while they do the swap but ohh well...

Pix of Rotors... Install hopefully Saturday..
Front & Rears..
Ceramic Brake pads & Sensors..
After install, she gets bright RED Ferrari Caliper paint.. Then a completely NEW no 1 else has it period Tuning list of mods going in VERY, VERY, soon..
The goal may sound lofty but it isn't, though it will be ground breaking for ANY RangeRover or any Jaguar that shares the same powerplant.. Basic mods for this platform are ECU/Pulley & catback-NO hp just for sound & flat K&N Airfilters lol bring it to 620-640 HP w/similar TQ.. I'm shooting for 750+ HP w/new mods & then adding 109 hioct ECU for ultimate goal 800 BHP/Crank neighborhood we'll see.. In my book, It's good to reach for something higher/bigger than whats already been done before, I'm not going to tune dangerously w/too much boost etc.. Just a different more elaborate path no 1's tried yet (At least from my Tuners knowledge & my scouring the Web et..

We got to use AutoWaves, brand new 1/4 of a Million dollar AWD Dyno DynoDynamics DTL was about 28%-30% for AWD.. Well my Rig was no slouch & picked up mad gains everywhere, ended up w/nearly 100 whp gains under the curve & on my heavy lame 22" KAHN wheels w/straight I mean STRAIGHT PURE CA 91 Krap-tane, no cool down straight onto Dyno.
Get this we made a ku nt hair from 490 AWHP = 700 BHP!!! (using 30% DTL) I partly met my goal, I figured I'd ONLY see 620-640 BHP w/ECU/Snout Pulley.. Jeremy said & I quote "You have another Factory BEAST!"
Next round of mods is larger 180mm Crank Pulley, 3"Down Pipes, 300 cell hi flo kitkats And... ms 109 hi oct tune this could get very interesting I don't doubt 600+ AWHP That would be the highest HP RR on the planet w/out ghey nitrous.. 600 @ wheels w/30% DTL = 857 BHP
Considering I'm actually momentarily able to light up ALL 4 wheels from a dig @ 700 BHP this things already a flat freak, I have to pikup a Vbox, to properly test/prove just how fast she is.. When I was running around w/Jeremy after Dyno tuning, I hit it full throttle on a nice wide empty Industrial area from a dig & had to lift as we were quickly approaching a Stop sign, when I glanced @ cluster before lifting, we had hit 75 mph, in no doubt the basement 4 sec range it was extremely quick/brutal... Paired to the evil Startech/Brabus valvetronic exhaust people were rubber neckin' it was a blast thank you Jeremy!!
There are a few kats w/JUST ecu/pulley/ that vbox tested 0-60mph & they're seeing 4.0-4.1 seconds 0-60.. No joke for a 5700+ lb SUV

I will need to order some custom offset 20" wheels for the new kit, I am not sure what to go with.
