SL600: exhaust tip change
Is there a reasonably easy way to change out the SL600's dual exhaust tips for something sportier, like the 55's quad tips or an interesting, non-cheesy design? I do not want to change out other exhaust components nor the rear apron / bumper. Just the tips. Thank you. A-Train

I just had quad pipes installed at my exhaust shop with universal stuff. Looks and sounds amazing and was $400 out the door.

Just had QUAD pipes installed on the SL600 from Scottsdale muffler- no cutting of rear bumper. They did an AMAZING custom job for less than $350![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
The old oval pipes were replaced with nice round pipes. I'll get some pics up!

Does anyone know if the original SL55 quad pipes are available anymore? I have an R230 with AMG kit etc, just need the exhaust to finish the look!

The plumber mixed them up real bad there...

And btw, if you don't cut the bumper, the stock hole is somewhat rounded.
That doesn't look very nice over the dual tips.
Just take a grinder, and trim the hole a bit so that it becomes more square, and flat/straight on top...

I second that!
The mid section needs to be AMG-dark.
But no need to replace the tail lights.
I've used the black tail light spray, and just put a couple of layers on there to tint them a bit.
(I'm sure you have that spray in the US... Cost about 20,- dollars here.)
And one more thing, if you ask me;
Lower the "BITURBO" letters so that they sit on the same line as the "V12"...
Just my opinion.
