SL55/63/65/R230 AMG Is BOSE standard on all SL55 AMG's

Is BOSE standard on all SL55 AMG's

Reason for asking is that i dont have the Bose on the speakers...

Yes...the Bose is standard.

Dean, On the 2002 price list I have the Bose Sound System was an optional extra Code 810 priced at £560 including VAT. It now appears to be included. Not sure when this happened. How old is your car?

let me revise my statement...here in the US there is only one choice on the stereo...the Bose is standard

2004 SL55 AMG

Mine is a 03 model manufactured in Oct 02 and has the Bose System but I cannot find reference to it on the invoice so looks like the Model 03 got the Bose as standard. Which leaves you to wonder if its just the badges that are missing or the Bose Speakers!!!! Not sure if they look any different other than for the badge? Do you have a pic of yours?

Looks the same as mine but without the badge. Might be worth asking the dealer to check that it has the Bose speakers and then just put the badges on

I am sure the badges are clipped onto the speaker grille in the door panel.

My guess is that when the car was built a guy on the production line forgot to clip them on and so they got missed off.

The interior fit out is quite 'manually' labour intensive and this could have been an oversight that wasn't picked up at final inspection.

Get your dealer to order you two Bose badges (complementary of course) as they must have a part number.

sl55 amg

I have a 2005 SL 55. Looks like there are rear speakers but I can't seem to activate them. The balance only gives me options for left and right. I don't see front to back balance. Am I missing something?
