Combo radar, laser detectors w/ laser jammers.
Any of u guys have the Passport SRX, BellRX 75 plus or other remote system in ur car? I've used a V1 for many years but for my SL55 (I'll know for sure tomorrow at 9AM if I got the car I want in a swap), I'd like to have a concealed system with laser jamming. Pls let me know ur thoughts and experiences as well aswhere it is installed. Many thanks,

I have 3 escort units in 3 different vehicles. We have very agressive laser use where I live- i.e. they hide in bucket trucks,dress themself as homeless people and survey crews. The jammer has worked great as my daughter and I have been lasered more than 20 times. I hear the bell unit works great too. Have you looked at www.radertest.com.

If you go to the M3 site or something there is an awesome installation of a radar detector. IT uses the the valentine V1, the almost undisputedly best radar. It has the remote sensor, which goes behind the grill, and can be completely hidden, and also has the seperate display. Now the best thing about it is the display is in the rear vision mirror, and you can only see the lights when it is on. You can still use the mirror however the auto dimming thing has to be removed. There are no cables or anything, and everything can be hidden.

Indeed, if you are hit by laser and the bells and wisles go off it is already too late. A laser jammer is a partial answer. It works, but in most European countries they are HIGHLY illegal because you are activilly obstructing the officer of getting a speed reading. Usually they will confiscate your car and you loose your driving lincense+apear before a judge who will give you a huge ticket.

Dave thanks, but I had a Bel 75RX Plus, which is essentially the same unit since Bel is owned by Escort, installed for $1,139. From my understanding the Escort is about 1,500 installed since it is not retailed. It can be purchased on Ebay for around 700.
