Stone Chips, Clear Bras

I got my SL55 1.5 weeks ago and already I've had the bad luck of getting hit by tiny debris that comes off trucks. They are really tiny but I look at my car carefully and it drives me nuts! A Clear Bra would not have helped as 2 are on the hood and 3 are on the side of the roof between the A and C pillars. Now I'm thinking of regular bumper and front hood pitting in the future. I think a clear bra would be too noticeable. What do you think?

it's not that noticeable dependin on the color of the car... i saw one on a silver car and i didn't really notice it... prob a good investment for the long road trips...

It's with the new ceramic clear coat.

I do have silver. Does anyone here have The Clear Bra on their car? Any negatives?

too many to list
I had the Clear Bra on my 03 Black Carrera and it wasnt too noticeable but it looks alot better on my brother 02 Seal grey turbo. You can hardly see it on his. Just make sure you get it done by someone reputable, otherwise it looks like someone put Saran wrap on your car. And you would be better served not to get a kit, but rather have someone thats really good at it do it in front of you. There's a guy named Ron Gorski who does a great job here in Dallas at Stuart's Paint and Body they work mostly on Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari and Benz.

I have Ultra-Shield on all my cars and it is brilliant! It is also barely noticable.

Aside from protecting against rocks and debris, bugs just wash right off.

I would highly recommend getting it done.

what is the process of getting it done? i went to their website, and found that you can purchase their shampoo's, etc, and apply it to your car. is there something else you can do before that at the dealership?

hope that made sense.

thanks

My local guy here in AZ is great. If you give him a call, I'm sure that he can recommend someone in your area to put it on your car.

It really is an art (applying the film). His name is Ryan Tounsley. His number is 602-694-6979. Tell him I sent you!

Thanks for all the info. Any particular areas outside of the norm tha should be shielded?

IngenereAMG, When you had your SL55 on track did you experience any fade or rotor warpage? What pads did you use? Any other track comments would be appreciated regarding your SL55 track experience. Thanks.
