What a nice matching upgrade! That interior looks like its a current model year with the carbon fiber not a 15 yr old car. It looks great I'm sure you'd be in the 9s regardless. If you fasted over night for blood work that would have been all you needed to run 6 hundredths faster. LOL. Good luck, enjoy it.

The back panel and speaker cover are from Germany, they were on EBay ,not black Series ,just from an SL that didn’t have the luggage seatbelt option .I had to strip and recover the panel it was light grey, now covered in Alcantera .

[QUOTE=desired_speeds;7435012]Didn't know some omitted the luggage strap option. Did you end up using the luggage strap mounting points for the rear harness anchors?[
no way they are securely fastened to chassis

Nice Bro.
Next step to weight loss can be Prior or Suchorovsky Black Series package- elements made from laminate are really light.
I had it in hands 2 days ago and later I try calculate how many lbs we can less after replace part like bumpers, hood etc.
But now I can say that laminate hood we can get in hands and moved without any problems and high strenght.
I think it really can help with break your world record.

Digging up this thread, i'm getting ready to throw some Recaros into mine, couple questions for ya.
1. Does the car have any error codes now that the stock seats are gone, like air bag, buckle warning etc?
2. What kind of bracket did you use to mount the seats to the floor board?
3. Mine has the stock luggage strap, is that strong enough to mount a 5point harness to?

No you have to code them out
I bought a planted bracket kit and welded it together
absolutely not some have installed a bar across the back ,but that looks hideous ,I used anchor points in the trunk, labor intensive.

Thanks man, i have a Matco scanner, hopefully that'll be able to code out the airbag light from the seat. Any chance you have a pic of the seat base install? or point me in the right direction on where to get the brackets, i can weld, just need the materials.
