SL55 Supercharger
Anyone got experience changing the supercharger oil? If so, do you recall how much was charged or the labor time?. My local shop has no idea what to quote me as they can find no "standard" labor time.

'99 and '05 E55 AMG
One hour max unless you drop and lose the fill plug; in that case add a couple of days to the effort. Before changing the oil order a spare plug or two.

You literally remove the plug, use a syringe with flexible line to suck out the old oil, then add oil.

on the subject , is there any other compatible oil than Mobil jet oil II
cannot find it where I am . was wondering if other oils have been used ??

I'm here with my 2003 SL55 AMG, the latest edition to the fleet

I changed mine at ~45K miles and 12 years. As I recall, it took about a half quart (or liter). No locals had the Mobil Jet oil, so bought it via an internet source.
