Continental Tires vs Options
Why does MB put Continental tires on their performance cars? Recently purchased a 63 AMG and found it a bit odd.
Does anyone have any experience with these tires compared to other options like Michelin or Goodyear? Thx.

Continental makes some very good tires so I won't worry much about it.
I mean sure if your out on track the newest Mich. Pilot Sport 4S are about the best thing going for a street car without getting into a very heavily "track only" tire that might last 5K on the streets on a good day.

If you can live with a summer tire, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is one of the best, if not be overall performance tire you can buy at any price. And readily available. Used them (and their precussor PS4) for years on my M car. Stick and ride like nothing else I've ever used. Count on 15k miles however, 20k if you're lucky.

Depends on how you drive and what the Tread rating is..

Too many to list
I currently have some ExtremeContact DWS 06 in sizes 295/35/21 and they are just plain horrible. Dealer put brand new ones on before I bought the vehicle so I know it's not due to wear. Every morning there would be flat spots and it would take 3-5 miles to warm them up to smooth it out. Also, horrible in the rain. I feel like I'm hydroplaning all the time. For being all-seasons, don't bother driving them in the snow. Can't wait to get rid of them. On the other hand, my PS 4S on my BMW are phenomenal. I'll replace the DWS 06 with the 4S soon.
