Engine Oil Temperature & Misc.

Today my oil temperature was up to 112 which is the highest that I can remember. The outside temperature was close to 110 today in Las Vegas which I'm sure was a huge factor. Does that seem high or is that normal for these conditions? I do like to drive fast as well. I just had the oil changed at Mercedes a couple of weeks ago and they said everything looked good. (Oil change was $150 btw) My engine temperature seems to be normal. I have a 2007 SL55 AMG with almost exactly 28,000 miles. I was thinking of installing a new Bosch water pump this week. Do I need to change the thermostat or anything else considering the low miles? Would installing a larger Heat Exchanger be beneficial? I was thinking of this one...https://www.privatelabelmfg.com/heat...-exchanger.htm I just had my resonators removed about a month ago and I really love the way the car sounds now. ($80 from my local shop) and I used these SS pipes. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/pye-pvm59s I do plan on installing a 77mm Supercharger pulley with an ECU tune within the next few weeks. Sorry for the rambling but more info is better than none. Thanks!

Unsure if 2007 already had the upgraded secondary Bosch 010 water pump. If not, it’s good to install regardless. You’ll definitely need it for the upgraded pulley anyway, and it’s easy to install.
I wouldn’t worry about changing the primary water pump or t-stat at such low mileage, even with anticipated mods. An upgraded (larger surface area) heat exchanger is recommended for pulleys 77mm and smaller. I didn’t do it for my 83mm since I was going for a mild enhancement.

Sure. Liqui Moly 5W-40. I get the oil change kit from FCP Euro: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mercedes-oil-change-kit-5w-40-liqui-moly-0001802609-9l-amg
Great deal and free returns (lifetime guaranty) on oil and filter.

I have an 07 SL55 and mine came with the bosch 010 part number. Changed it anyway car is at 93k miles! I got the PLM XL heat exchanger and an 83mm pulley and tune. I kept the stock heat exchanger and added the PLM XL I have had no heat soak issues at all and very happy. The oil cooler did have to get rerouted to make space for the XL version of the heat exchanger. If I were to do it all over again, I would probably go with a 77mm SC pulley...I have hit oil temps of about 110 in very hot weather so doesnt seem to be an issue

Considering the ambient temps that oil temp doesn't look bad, mine is typically low 100 C range on a 95 F ambient day.
