Spark Plugs
So I'm getting ready to replace my SL 55's spark plugs. Any thoughts on the correct plugs to use, NGK - Bosch - or ???

I haven't worked on a 55 before, but if you don't go MB, make sure the dimensions of the aftermarket plugs are the exact same as MB OEM. It may be more of an issue in the DI engines where aftermarket plugs are sold to fit, but are a tad shorter in length. I ran across this working on M276 and 278 engines...

I've been using NGK plugs for the last decade across various platforms. Never an issue.

2007 SL65
I used NGK plugs on an M275 and talked to one NGK engineers before doing it. From my understanding they were the exact same plugs except for the branding on them. What difficulties did you have?

If you plan on doing any performance mods you'll want the colder plugs.

2003 SL55 AMG
I used NGK Iridium IX LFR6AIX-11 (6619) OE on my '03 SL55. Great deals on ebay.
This would be a good time to also replace the valve cover seals, inspect the hoses, etc.
