Picked up this low mileage 07 Designo Mystic White SL55 with P30 package and just finished putting my touch on it. I haven't seen any other in this spec. Does anyone else out there own an 07-08 like this?

Consider yourself lucky as there were only about 40 cars imported with the P30 option according to the (SL55 P30 registry kept by one of our fellow owners) The handling of the P30 makes quite a difference in comparison to the others cars, originally being used by MB as the F1 pace cars for that time period they are well suited and set up to be on a race track as well.
I have owned mine since 2017 and still enjoy driving it as much as when I first got it, Having a garage with lifts, SDS diagnostics and the tools I do all my work and maintenance on all my cars.
I have added a few customized features to my car that don't alter the original specs of it that I find useful but other than that it is a great car.

You want to contact VRV000. He has been cataloging the P30 cars. He has all of them I think but four in his data. One of the things I think he has debunked is the "only 40 P30s imported" wisdom.

agreed. wasnt sure how much id like the SL55 but its far exceeded my expectations.

ive shared my car with vrv before. i think in the US this might be only car in designo mystic white with p30. there was another car for sale on this forum years ago and I think i actually bought that car.
I have a 2009 p30 silver/black I may sell in the next year - I just find I do not drive it as much as I would like. 34k miles and runs like a top - these cars are just ridiculously fast out of the box. Enjoy your new to you ride!
Yes Hendrik, a few more than 40 P30s. My tally says 61 MY2008s in the US and 135 MY2007s. Have not tackled the 2006s yet. That will be an even bigger job, as there were more produced. I wouldn't be surprised if the final count for 2006-2008 is somewhere in the 400-ish range. There were a number of cars sold in Canada (not included in these numbers) and I am aware of at least one showing up on a used car lot in Seattle last year. The search gets a little murky because the production numbers shown are for calendar years, rather than model years and the various VIN look-up sites show completion or release dates, rather than when the VIN/FIN number was assigned and production started.
Here is my 2006 SL55 AMG with P30 option 68500 miles. It has RENNtech R2 package plus belt wrap and long tube headers with cat2 delete. I purchased it last week from a Tennessee owner. It started in Ohio then to California before Tennessee. Now it is in South Carolina where I hope to keep it for a long time. New badge on front motor cover
