SL 55 AMG check light and limp mode

Hello,
I have bought my SL 55 a few weeks ago and today was good weather to drive. I floor it on the highway and the car went to limp mode and the check engine turned on. I turn off the car and drive it again so everything is right. But still the engine light on and whenever I floor the car it goes to limp mode.
Anyone has been in this situation before. And what can be the problem. Note the car has just 32000 km.

whats the code? For me this was my accelerator pedal. Every time I floored the car it would go limp mode and when I restarted the car it would drive back to normal. I believe I would get the ESP error as well. I changed my accelerator pedal and it fixed the problem

I bought a used pedal on eBay for around $80? And replaced it in ten minutes myself

I got a call from Mercedes service and the accelerator pedal was not right, so they will change it.

hello there
Did you get a code for the accelerator pedal? Because I’ve got the same issue but without any codes!

If yup floor the car and it goes into limp mode and when restarting the car the issue resolved itself it is more than likely the accelerator pedal. It wears down the plastic and overextends causing an over voltage problem for the ECM. In limp mode the car doesn’t respond to accelerator input.

Shimming the pedal assembly so it doesn’t push down so far repairs the issue, as it isn’t necessarily a problem with the electronics. My sons car would do it every time he pushed the pedal all the way down. I glued a small washer right where the pedal hits the stop, and it doesn’t anymore.

Oh ok I get it now, so basically there isn’t a code for it you just see the symptoms of it

Not sure if I even checked the code, as the symptoms were spot on to the problem I had. It’s relatively common as well.
