Damn!!!

I was planning to do those track days in my 55 but I was out of town. I would love to run with another Merc. I'm usually the only MB at any of these track events. Oh well, maybe he'll be out there next time..........

I'll be happy to loose to you

Here's the vid (right clicky)

The car had Manufacturer plates on it. He was running some pretty awful times for an SL65.

Lap times are so driver dependant...and aren't indicitive of the car. Plus....isn't it all about having fun anyway?!

What were his times around PIR?

Drags!!!! OH NO!!! Saw the video...

I misunderstood....I was thinking PIR or Firebird's road course. Nothing against drag racing but I find the drags pretty dull. As far as him doing a 12 sec 1/4 mile.....could be reaction time, new car, etc.

you are correct drag racing in an automatic without a high stall converter on street tires is boring. Take your F40 to the drags and you'll have fun.

I guess its just different strokes......but the F40 at the drags....I don't think so. The F40....and pretty much most sports cars are not set up for drag racing. Dumping the clutch in the F40 at 5000rpm might be a tad wasteful as well. I would rather use up the clutch on a favorite mountain road or track. An F40 is meant for road racing. Sure it can do 11's or better....but what's the point? Now 2:30 around Laguna Seca......now that gets me going!! Like I said different strokes.

Have fun and be safe!

The guy hosting it took it down. PM me if you really want it. It's kind of boring. Two cars trying to beat each other to 1320 feet. One just happens to be an MB... the other? A Honda with a big exhaust.

That car was done in Scottsdale at Dyno-Comp. I have seen some nice cars there. www.dynocomp.com
