Long overdue Pics of my recent 2013 SL63 AMG purchase. What do you think of the Carbon Fiber Wheels and mirrors

What wheels are those? Are they stronger than alum? If they take a hit that would have bent alum, do they shatter?

Wheels are 360 Forged (now American Muscle) cast aluminum with carbon fiber overlay molded to them. Just as strong as any cast aluminum wheel. Carbon is part of the wheel and very strong but if I curb them, just like any other wheel, they will scratch. Pics do not do them justice. In person looks much better. Thanks.

the wheels seem pretty reasonable only a couple hundred a piece. How are they holding up? I too live in south florida. I have a 12 sl63 and wanted to upgrade to 20's but was a little concerned with bending wheels. everytime I bought after market wheels for a mercedes I regreted it but I think its time again to try. what offset did you buy and did you have to call them to order for I did not see any information but for america cars. My car is also dark grey and I would like that red effect that you have on the wheels

Recommend BBS wheels. They manufacture/stock most of MB, BMW, Porsche, VW and other European car wheels and have the best ratings per my research. I have the black optional MB wheels (+$2K) on my 13 sl63 w/perf pkg, etc., but have considered getting an alternate chrome set for change-up sake. Probably won't, but did check them out.

BTW called American Muscle and they don't have a clue about their wheels in any lug pattern other than 5x114.5 which i believe is mustang and challengers
