Ready to buy a preowned 2014 SL63 and checking in for advice
I am a new member of this forum, and I hope it is not bad form to request advice so early in my participation. I am in final negotiations with a dealer to purchase a 2014, SL63 with every option imaginable and less than 7,000 miles on the odometer. I plan to use this for my daily driver. We live in the Dallas area and I commute about 18 miles each way to work on a combination of freeway and surface streets.
I began looking for a new car, having decided to trade my 2015 E350 in on something more exciting to drive. I have been very interested in a preowned Porsche 911 cab, and have driven a few of the different trim levels. Then I test drove the SL550 and SL63. Because we have had very good experience with several MB cars (the 2015 E350, 2016 S550, 2011 C300, 2014 GL450, and 2004 CLK) I am now leaning toward the SL63.
Long story, I know. I am interested in your thoughts: is this car suitable for a daily driver that has the added excitement factor for pleasure driving? Is it a worthy alternative to a 911 cab of similar age? Should I be at all concerned about a preowned AMG car, given a supposition that it has been driven fast, even though it has very low miles? Is this car likely to be as reliable and of similar cost of ownership compared to the 911?
Any other thoughts about this vehicle?
Thank you in advance for your responses to a new member.

For me, saving over $90k off MSRP for 3,600 miles was a no brainer! Good luck!

I like your choice in color, but I'm a tad biased.
An absolute pleasure all around. A mature ride that is very well made and easy to appreciate the quality. I recently rented a Chevy Traverse SUV when out of town and it reminded me of the difference between a Corvette C 7 and the Mercedes R231. Quality certainly is noticeable!
The car is not without its own quirks. Sometimes I don't quite understand the MCT (it is more quirky than my previous E63's MCT), but it's leaps and bounds better than the 7G-tronic that was in my CLK Black Series. I've had (just a few) repairs that were needed on the SL63 and too soon. With all of the sensors and electronics in the car and euro parts being so pricey, I am in no way going to own this without an extended warranty. NO WAY. However, I do expect to keep this car for a long time. It honestly does everything I need it to. It can also be jekyll or hyde depending on what you want that day.

I use Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte for my soap.

They said they recommend it because it doesnt have anything in it that glosses, or has fillers in it that will make the matte surface go glossy
I bought a couple of the special matte products but after using them once or twice, I find nothing better about them and prefer the wash job period.
